Last week's episode of Loki ended with the reveal that there's another Variant of the God of Mischief who has been causing chaos in the sacred timeline, killing members of the Time Variance Authority and stealing their tech.
Well, today's instalment sees the hunt for that mysterious villain begin, with Loki and Mobius teaming up to track him down. After finding the Variant in a Roxxcart store in 2050, The Avengers villain is forced to battle people who are being mind-controlled by his doppelganger, though he's quick to praise the "inferior" Loki for his impressive enchantments.
"Enchantment is a clever trick," the newly minted TVA agent tells the other Loki (who is controlling Hunter B-15 at this point). It feels like that line could be important, especially when this Variant removes their hood to reveal that he is actually a she.
It's Sophia Di Martino as a character who appears to be Lady Loki, though we can't help but wonder whether she's going to be a cross between the God of Mischief and Enchantress. It's worth noting that the actress is only credited as "The Variant" at the end of the episode, so don't be surprised if there's another twist on the way.
