Not too long ago, we heard that Marvel Studios is developing a big budget, eight-part Loki TV series for Disney's streaming service and that was made official during an earnings call last night when it was named Disney+. Now, Tom Hiddleston has confirmed what we all expected by revealing that he will indeed return as the God of Mischief in the show.

Many fans have speculated that a female actress could be cast as the new Loki, something which obviously would have followed the source material (it would have also given the series a female lead).

This is arguably the right move, though, and it will be a lot of fun seeing Hiddleston return to cause more mischief. What we don't know is when Loki will be set. Learning how he met Thanos between the events of Thor and The Avengers would be fun but so too would be learning that he survived the events of Avengers: Infinity War!

What do you guys think? As always, feel free to share your thoughts in the usual place.
