D23 is set to kick off in Anaheim, California in a matter of hours, but some photos from the event's floor have already started finding their way online.
The Marvel Studios booth will reportedly have a number of costumes on display over the weekend, but the photo below shows some of the MCU's greatest heroes striking all manner of poses. For the most part, all of that is imagery we've seen before rather than anything from upcoming projects, but there's one shot that is of interest.
As you can see, we have a live-action photo of She-Hulk in her superhero costume. While this has been glimpsed in TV spots and promo art, the display is the first time we've seen Jennifer Walters' official suit from She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Based on what's happened in other Marvel Studios TV shows, we'd bet that She-Hulk won't don this costume until much later in the season. However, with only five episodes left, we may not have to wait too long (one promo showed Tatiana Maslany's Jen in this suit alongside Charlie Cox's Daredevil).
The series has continued to heavily feature fourth wall breaks, so we're sure the hero will have something to say about her new look given how reluctant she's been to become an Avenger.
"I think that there’s something about She-Hulk’s awareness," Maslany said during She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's global press conference. "Where she’s able to go from being Jen to She-Hulk with seamlessness. Her consciousness stays the same. And she’s aware of the audience; that feels like it’s her superpower engaged with the meta element."
"It’s like an extension of her superpower. It's like she's saying, 'I know I’m talking to the camera. I know you guys are watching this.' And there’s something about that super hyperawareness that is who she is."
The first four episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law are now streaming on Disney+.
