Ahsoka's seventh episode, "Dreams and Madness," begins with Hera Syndulla forced to answer for her decision to ignore the New Republic's orders by travelling to Seaton in an effort to help Ahsoka Tano make her journey to Peridea.
Senator Xiono is out for blood and wants the former Rebel to be punished, but it's then we see a familiar droid enter the picture. Anthony Daniels' C-3PO makes an unexpected cameo appearance to inform Mon Mothma and her fellow Senators that Senator Leia Organa was responsible for giving Hera the go-ahead.
Revealed to be the leader of the Defence Council, her intervention (which admittedly bends the truth) proves vital for the Ghost pilot. During a brief conversation with Mon, we see that the Rebel Alliance's one-time leader is terrified of Grand Admiral Thrawn's possible return, further cementing him as a huge threat.
Elsewhere, we find Ahsoka Tano training aboard her ship and being mentored by a hologram of Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker. Once again decked out in his Clone Wars armour, the Jedi offers his Padawan some words of advice and name-drops some familiar characters, including Count Dooku and General Grievous.

Ahsoka mentions that she has more than 20 of those recordings, so something tells us this might not be the last we see of Anakin.
Perhaps even more interesting, though, is Thrawn's reaction to learning Anakin was Ahsoka's Master. He appears genuinely disturbed and suggests she is likely to be "unpredictable and quite dangerous."
For those of you who have read Timothy Zahn's recent Thrawn novels, you'll know that the Grand Admiral actually met and teamed up with Anakin during The Clone Wars. He was also tasked with working alongside Darth Vader by Emperor Palpatine and successfully deduced that Anakin and the Sith Lord were one and the same.
