Last month, The Mandalorian confirmed what we long suspected when it was revealed that Moff Gideon had escaped from the New Republic.
We still have some questions about how that all went down, but the villain returned in "The Spies" with an army of Beskar-clad Stormtroopers and his own impressive armour that makes the Imperial more formidable than ever before. Throw in the fact that he's part of the Empire's Shadow Council and Gideon is now a much bigger threat than we previously suspected.
Unfortunately, the villain isn't decked out in that on this latest character poster for the Disney+ series. We do, however, still get a great new look at Giancarlo Esposito's return as the evil Moff.
During a recent interview with Screen Rant (via SFFGazette.com), the actor was actually asked how he believes Gideon will deal with the New Republic calling the shots.
"Not well. He's spent his time shuttered away; a lot of time to think and figure out a new way to go about things," the actor says. "We know he escapes, so it gives us a chance to rebuild and start over."
With the finale looming, we're definitely excited to see what Gideon has planned and, with Din Djarin in his grasp, his first point of business is bound to be tracking his revenge on the helmeted warrior. We have a feeling he might have an unexpected ally as well (find out more about that right here).
