Pedro Pascal gets paid a crazy amount of money to do nothing but go in a recording booth for a couple hours. He is rarely in the costume. I’m sure he will keep voicing the character. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Vader was also played by someone never in the costume and never on set.
mastakilla39 - 11/17/2023, 12:00 PM
@MrDandy - Yeah but being a hot actor now, why waste hours in a booth for small pay when you can get paid more for bigger gigs? Mando's story was wrapped up in S3, don't really see a reason for him to return.

If anything they can just recast or find a soundalike thats cheaper simiar to Marvel's What IF show.
santoanderson - 11/17/2023, 9:33 AM
Pedro is essentially a voice actor on The Mandalorian at this point, with occasional face work. He can perform most of his acting from his toilet if he wants to.
HashTagSwagg - 11/17/2023, 9:36 AM
If anyone actually still gave a shit about this franchise I'd consider this article as blatant fear mongering.
WhatIfRickJames - 11/17/2023, 9:46 AM
@HashTagSwagg - weird take - if people didn't give a shit, they wouldn't spend the money on a S4
Origame - 11/17/2023, 10:24 AM
@WhatIfRickJames - no one gave a sh!t about a captain marvel sequel, yet they pumped $300 mil down the toile....I mean into the marvels.
WhatIfRickJames - 11/17/2023, 10:47 AM
@Origame - no one thought that it was going to be a turd when they were filming it it 2021. It was too far into production to back out after Quantumania nosedived. Not saying that the SAG strike hurt, but it didn't help
WhatIfRickJames - 11/17/2023, 10:48 AM
@Origame - I mean CM made a [frick] ton of money. Why wouldn't you take that gamble
Origame - 11/17/2023, 11:14 AM
@WhatIfRickJames - well hindsight is 20/20, but they should've heard the feedback and realized the only reason the first movie made a billion was because it was at the hypest moment for the mcu and it was hyped up especially as being important for endgame.
Comicmoviejunki - 11/17/2023, 9:38 AM
Ridiculous article. He voices the character so no, they will not loose him.
lazlodaytona - 11/17/2023, 9:58 AM
@Comicmoviejunki - Let's hope not simply to keep him from being Reed Richards. Does not fit that part at all.
mountainman - 11/17/2023, 9:40 AM
Pedro can record his lines for the whole season in an afternoon. Getting another role won’t affect his part time voice acting for that show.
WhatIfRickJames - 11/17/2023, 9:44 AM
Him as the Mandalorian is basically a layup. He can record his lines wherever, whenever he wants. The Mando character will be just fine
Nomis929 - 11/17/2023, 9:45 AM
Still one of the greatest moments in StarWars history...

lazlodaytona - 11/17/2023, 10:01 AM
@Nomis929 - I'm not a big SW guy but I even got major chills with that scene. It was like Vadar's brief scene at the end of Rogue One on crack.
Nomis929 - 11/17/2023, 10:11 AM
@lazlodaytona - Exactly. I'm sure that wasn't by accident.

Someone made a video right after that and synched up the two scenes.

mountainman - 11/17/2023, 10:24 AM
@Nomis929 - It was great. Too bad the follow up to this in Book of Boba Fett was wasted. I wish they would have had the courage to not reunite Grogu with Mando so quickly and had him stay with Luke for longer.
Nomis929 - 11/17/2023, 10:30 AM
@mountainman - I really didn't think they needed to reunited them at all. let Grogu stay with Luke.

Take the show in another entirely different direction with Mando on another mission.
mountainman - 11/17/2023, 10:35 AM
@Nomis929 - But but…the merchandising!
Nomis929 - 11/17/2023, 10:47 AM
@mountainman - LOL!!!

Arthorious - 11/17/2023, 12:20 PM
@Nomis929 - like father like son
Timerider - 11/17/2023, 10:06 AM
All he needs is one day to shoot his part with the helmet off. If there is even a scene for it. Otherwise, it will be Brendan Wayne the whole time.
darthgeekboy - 11/17/2023, 10:11 AM
lucky baby.
MosquitoFarmer - 11/17/2023, 10:13 AM
At this point, it already feels like they are going to run the series for too long just for the money and at the sake of quality.
mountainman - 11/17/2023, 10:26 AM
@MosquitoFarmer - Season 3 was a huge step down in quality. It feels like they are treading water now. It felt like Season 2 could have been a series ender, but now they need it to keep running until Filioni is ready with his other projects to put it together in his movie.
garu - 11/17/2023, 10:48 AM
Filoni is overrated in live action content, besides he's rumored to not have liked Andor, pass
bobevanz - 11/17/2023, 2:21 PM
@garu - the love for Andor is baffling, it's basically Blade Runner lol
garu - 11/17/2023, 2:26 PM
@bobevanz - tbf my preferences towards storytelling resonate with Andor, Succession, The Bear, Severance, Yellowstone, etc. Doesn't mean the other stuff is bad - i.e. Mando, Ahsoka ,Kenobi, etc.

It isn't baffling when it's perceived as quality storytelling by the majority of the audience that watched it. Some people complained that they didn't have wooshy wooshy lightsaber fights lol
JohnPain - 11/17/2023, 10:36 PM
@bobevanz -

An odd comparison.
SheepishOne - 11/17/2023, 11:00 AM
I wouldn't put a lot of stock into Pedro as Reed. Betting someone out of left field gets announced by Marvel in the next week.
DocSpock - 11/17/2023, 11:12 AM

I can't describe how bad I want to be that baby right now.

Slotherin - 11/17/2023, 11:58 AM
I thought they were done honestly. Season 3 seemed to end on a conclusive note.
marvel72 - 11/17/2023, 2:05 PM
Din Djarin is a supporting character in his own show now, so does it really matter if he returns.
slickrickdesigns - 11/17/2023, 2:08 PM
Even if Pedro gets a role with marvel I don’t see him not reprising a voice over role. He can literally be done with the entire season voicing his role within a week.
bobevanz - 11/17/2023, 2:23 PM
The first two seasons was perfect, season 3 fell down the stairs and broke it's neck. Boba Fett was terrible, obi Wan had a budget of 90m.. the cheapest SW show with the most importance.. it would seem everything is going to shit lol
JohnPain - 11/17/2023, 10:39 PM
@bobevanz -

Considering the awful script and bad performances, $90 million was too much for Kenobi.

LSHF - 11/17/2023, 4:43 PM
It seems to matter very little, as Pedro doesn't really need to be there on the set if we can't see his face.
dragon316 - 11/17/2023, 5:24 PM
Will not be same without him didn’t see last season not sure how much of series he keeps helmet on his voice what’s make character be werid hear his character voice change
