Well, as some of you probably know, Blizzcon was this weekend. A lot of news was released, including the Monk for Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 news, and the new WoW expansion: Cataclysm, and Blizzards all new MMO was confirmed.
Although a lot of news was released about those, not much about the movie however. They mostly said things we already know. Some new thing were that the film is in the early development stages while Raimi is hard at work on Spidey 4, but according to Blizzard founder Mike Moreheim, World of Warcraft is a passion of Raimi's. And he plans to get as much as possible accomplished before he is done with Spidey 4.

WoW: Cataclysm is going to make or break the game. Some things are terrible, like the streamlining of the stats on gear and putting Warlocks on a rune system. Other's are great, Heroic Classic dungeons, the Archaeology profession, Reforging and the profession system overhaul. Some things are really getting as much flak as praise though, like the new races, Goblins for Horde and Worgen for Alliance. If your a WoW player, it'll be easy for you to find out info on this.

Personally, I just took about 3 weeks off from the game, and I'm ready to get back in and play a Worgen through this new landscape. I have been waiting for a while for the Greymane wall to open to Gilneas. Some of the previews show radical changes to area's like Tanaris, Darkshore, and the Barrens (among others). To me the greatest thing about this game has always been the expansive nature, both geologically and in lore. This gives me a whole new reason to play through one last hurrah at least. 3 years for me, I just wish they'd stop and make a WoW2 completely redesigned in every way.

I played WOW through the free 14 or 15 days, whatever it was, and only thought it was alright. Although maybe I'm just too cheap to play it lol. I tend to stick to Guild Wars lol.
