Well Hollywood is at it again with video game movies. Notably Resident Evil is the best video game brought to the silver screen.

There seems to be no end to Hollywood's madness with video games movies. The flop of a movie Super Mario Brothers 1993 starting John Leguizamo, Bob Hopkins, & Dennis Hopper was suppose to be Nintendo's gateway to the big screen, but sadly it hit rock bottom at the box office. Total Domestic gross is $20,915,465 since 1993, (Super Box Mojo).

Nintendo North America President Reggie Fils-Aime stated:
There have been certain [people] that we have talked in more detail with. But I think in the end, because we are a content company and are passionate about our franchises, it will be few and far between that actual deals are done to bring our franchises to life in a different way. These are our children.

It appears that some time ago Director Jon Woo who brought us Face Off & Mission Impossible II wanted to do Metroid.
