The game is called Marvel Super Hero Squad Online. Accoding to Gazillion Entertainment, developer of the new MMO, You'll be able to play as your favorite (disnified) Marvel Characters. The guys at technabob believe that certain aspects of the game maybe card based.

Here's the trailer:

Well, that was...interesting, right? I think it's kinda odd that spiderman is actually in the game and not the show. They probably did it to cash in on spidey lovers. who knows. this could be the first step to a Marvel Universe Online.

Not sure if it's true or not, but I always assumed that Spidey didn't make the cut on the show because there was an issue with Sony owning rights to any kind of movie/show distribution...but I'm not sure. They market the poop out of him on all the other non-show related SHS items. If somebody knows differently, please let us all know.

Oh...and unintentional FIST BLOCK!!!!

PsychoJester70, I believe you are correct.Sony owns the film and TV rights to the character. They were the producers of Spectacular Spider-Man.For some reason, Sony returned the TV rights to Spider-Man, which led to the cancellation of the series.Spider-Man will probably appear in season 2 of Super Hero Squad.

Seems odd they would give up the rights, when Spectacular was a really popular show.I mean, everyone loves a good Spider-Man show, right?Anyway, as soon as Marvel reclaimed the rights, they announced Ultimate Spider-Man.

That was perty fun looking. I think marvel needs to create a game like D.C.'s upcoming D.C. Universe Online (PS3, PC) cause that would be wicked!

a real MMO for kids. you can't judge it on the basis of an older person. A kid sees this and will want it no matter how much of a cash in it is.
