Even though fanboys and internet journalists beat hell out of the Resident Evil franchise we all keep going to see these movies at the theater or renting them. Which in turn keeps these yahoos making Resident Evil movies. One has to note, this is probably the most successful Video Game Movie Franchise to date. Some of you might cry out responding 'But J-Man the Resident Evil movies sucked!" I say to you, 'Your right, kinda, but money talks and bull...well you know the rest!'

I just went to IMDB... and they stated that Silent Hill 2 will be starting up production after Resident Evil has finished... Can this be true will they bring us a Silent Hill 2

Pretty cool poster. I think the text could have used a bit more dimension, though. It would have helped with the dynamic in the composition.

I'm ashamed how much I'm looking forward to this movie. :/

Gotta hand it to Milla though; she's come a long way from flashin some titty in Return to the Blue Lagoon. She's a bad-ass action chick now; as we've seen so far in the Fifth Element, Ultraviolet, and now the Resident Evil movies. What's next for her? I can't get enough of watchin Milla kick some ass :D

I really have no beef with these movies, I just don't get some fans, they complain if the movie is like the game, saying there is nothing original, then when the directors do something original, fans still b*tch, just get over it, and accept it as a alternate take on the games, or as I see it, I think the films take place during the events of the game, I know it sounds weird but be open minded here, I can't wait too see it.

this franchise is only successful because at least 75% of the people that go see them have never played the games and don't have any reason to hate the movies, if you don't compare them to the games they are good, but when compared they are full of fail, if you try and explain RE to someone who has only seen the movies they get confused due to there being so many differences, and ask where Alice fits in..... who was never in the games to begin with.

let me know when they remake this like the first game,then ill watch it. otherwise this is just gonna be the same old crap o horror feel,over the top action,cheesy lines,no monsters/experiments from the games like plant 42,hunters,neptune soooo ill pass.

@1chris2@ it appears that they are basing this one on RE5 which was all about the cheesy action scenes, Chris punching a boulder ring any bells.

It's good to hear Jill is coming back, she was the best casting choice in all of the movies so far, and it will be sweet to see her as op as she was in RE5.

The third film was weak compared to the other two, but they are still a great series. I don't go to movies like these for the next revolutionary master piece, I go to watch a gorgeous action actress kick ass and take names. Who cares if they deviated from the game, they've established that this is a seperate story. Let the original source material stand alone and enjoy this as something completely different.

Do people really hate RE movies that bad? I mean, they're okay. Well, the third kinda sucked, but not that badly. The suckest of 'em all would probably be this Alice character that has no business being there in the first place, let alone being the center character. It should've been Jill or Leon in her place. No super powers needed.

But once you get past that, everything is cool. But speaking of Milla... whoa, she is one HOT damme who's believable in action scenes and CAN act! Have you seen .45? Milla stared with Angus McFadyen there! Awesome movie! Highly recommended!
