Adrianne Palicki Looks Back On The WONDER WOMAN TV Show

David E. Kelly's attempt to bring Wonder Woman back to the small screen was derailed when the studio decided not to pick it up. Adrianne Palicki recently recalled working on the project and reveled if she is doing re-shoots for G.I. Joe Retaliation.

Working on the Wonder Woman pilot was a dream for Adrianne Palicki. The show which has famously been chronicled from its inception to its ultimate demise was actually scheduled to be picked up. Palicki was set up to do press for the show, even booking an interview on Jimmy Kimmle Live to promote it. But during a last second shift by the studio, they decided not to go with the show. Palicki talked with Crave Online about working on the pilot. "I’m incredibly proud of that project. I was so grateful to get to play Wonder Woman. That was a childhood dream of mine and I’m proud of the outcome. I do wish it would have gone to series but everything happens for a reason. Looking at it as a positive, I got to work with some amazing actors, [an] amazing writer and I got to wear the outfit," said Palicki. She went on to say that wearing the outfit was extremely uncomfortable, but totally worth it.

There has also been a lot to do about G.I. Joe Retaliation, which Palicki stars in as Lady Jaye, and the 3D conversion/re-shoots. When asked if she had any re-shoots to do for the film she replied, "Not as of now, no."

You can catch Adrianne Palicki in G.I. Joe Retaliation along side D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, and Dwayne Johnson on March 29, 2013.

@jazzman. I know that. She doesn't (or doesn't want to). :)

And it's "cast". Cast is the past tense of cast. "Casted" is not a word. It's two letters less ffs, it's not like I'm telling you to do more work...

I don't think she would've been a terrible WW, but from everything I saw from that pilot it was gonna be a train wreck. And there are better options for WW out there too. All in all they may have saved WW by not airing this

for the people saying WW wouldn't on the big screen. what's the difference small or big, anything works, it just needs to converted properly and done right. some are simple and some are difficult, WW imo would be a gold mine for DC/WB if done right.

Should have specified, this is the streaming version of the entire pilot episode. Toward the last 10 minutes there are FX shots missing and stunt rigging visible.

...and yes, it still sucked. For the morbidly curious only.

I watched the pilot and I really don't think it was that bad, and if they had given it a chance it could have gotten better...I think Palicki did a fine job in the updated version of Wonder Woman..Lynda Carter was better, but I think if she had gotten the chance Adrianne could have been pretty good...just my two cents

Wonder Woman isn't that hard to pull off.

Read the first issue.

It actually has a story which can appeal to both genders. The character from who's perspective the story is told and the world is discovered is actually male in the earlier issues.

Most people trying to bring the character to live-action have completely missed the point of the character, and overlooked the rich mythology. Wonder Woman's a character who is tough, but compassionate and warm, she is supposed to have a sense of wonder and curiosity about the outside world. Not some man-hating bullshit that most shit writers saddle her with. And speaking of mythology. Yes, the mythology is somewhat Greco-Roman, and is actually much easier to pull off than, say, Thor was. And they did fine with that, they'll do fine with this.

In capable hands, Wonder Woman will work.

btw, the pilot was shit. It jumped into the cheese without dealing with the backstory.

[frick]ing faggot ass show ruining the reputation of the character with its clunky handling.

That show has made it even harder for WB to go ahead with a film.

So many people have such hatred towards that show. I actually thought it was pretty good, even if it did veer from the established story lines quite a bit. I thought it was a good TV incarnation of WW, Palicki was a great WW, and I enjoyed seeing Elizabeth Hurley in a villain role. Besides.. Just think of the cat-fight possibilities ;)

She didn't look altogether horrible...but I'm still not feeling it. I would still totally [frick] her butt cuz' she's hot but I don't think people are ready for that version of Wonder Woman anymore. Like pretty much 99.9 % of DC characters as well as about 60% of Marvel characters she will need a total makeover for TV/film bordering on a complete re-imagining. Palicki looks way too soft and cute. I would let her kick my ass though. Bring it...please!

I'm sorry to anyone above who liked the costume, but it is a FACT that it sucked donkey nuts.

From the gaudy red top to the plastic pieces supposed to pass for any kind of metal. Nope, not even a matter of debate. It was shit.

To me, the pilot sucked because she was just too powerful physically, politically, socially, and financially.

People stuck with Smallville because they could grow with Superman from his beginnings to his future.

Watching Wonder Woman was like watching Oprah.

Hard to say if she was a "great" WW from a failed pilot, but i will agree that she looked the part. But well written? yea...about that: umm, no.

I smelt some serious ripe gorgonzola while watching Equivocal's WW clip. Might have had something to do with the 70s cheesetastic theme song but WW's several attempts at the long jump could also have been a factor.
