Although she made her name as a presenter, Olivia Munn has gone on to prove her acting chops in the likes of Iron Man 2, Magic Mike and more recently as financial journalist Sloan Sabbith in HBO's excellent The Newsroom. Munn is a well known comic book fan and this -- along with her stunning looks no doubt -- has led her to become many fan's pick to play Wonder Woman on the big screen (should DC/WB ever get the finger out) either in a solo movie or in the planned Justice League flick. When asked about this by the Boston Herald the actress reaffirms her love for the character but doesn't think it's likely to happen. "It would be great, though, if the producers could make Wonder Woman an Asian-American, but that's probably not what they would do," Munn said. "I don't know a lot of Asian-American women who are getting great opportunities yet, and the other actresses (vying for the role) are probably really famous and Hollywood tends to go for the girls who are already in the big movies.". I think she's great, but in my mind her not getting Wonder Woman has less to do with heritage and more to do with she's to frail looking for the role. They need someone with some muscle tone to play her.

It really says something about people's perceptions of playing Wonder Woman considering some of the talentless women who try to get in line to play her.

Ugly ass Chyna wanted the part. Gina Carano, Olivia Munn, Megan Fox, Katy Perry and Whedon wanted Angelina Jolie to play the part.

I hope they cast a great actress who gives the character heart and depth. Not some fake ass looking bimbo who cant act and no one will care about. Thats a porno Wonder Woman.

Hopefully theyll cast the part better than that.

Her not playing Wonder Woman has less to do with her ethnicity, and more with the fact that she's not an actress that can be taken seriously. She doesn't have a commanding presence and I can't see her being a leader type.

Her being half Asian has a little to do with it, but it sounds like she's going to say that's the biggest reason she didn't get the role.

Olivia Munn is really overrated. I think just based on look, Gina Carano would be perfect for Wonder Woman.



But she has a lot to prove still the in acting department, but it also doesn't hurt that she's also dating Henry Cavill either lol

nope. either gemma arterton, jennifer lawrence, or emily blunt will get the role. she's got the have the chops and the star power to carry it as a franchise. very few women meet that requirement. lawrence is very young looking, but her star power would guarantee that it's a success. blunt isn't very wondy looking, but she's got the chops. arterton's got some ability but looks most like wondy out of the three and has been in some films that have been successful like clash of the titans and hansel and gretel. blunt will probably age out enough to carry the franchise that's supposed to start in 2016, so it'll probably be either arterton to lawrence since hg will be done by then, and who knows where the x-men are going next.

munn isn't any of that. better actress then i thought she'd be, but not good enough for wondy. she's hot though.
