WONDER WOMAN Gal Gadot Lassos Female Lead In BEN-HUR
As we found out earlier, the lovely Gal Gadot will be reprising the role of Wonder Woman for her solo movie outing in 2017, but before that the Fast & Furious is said to be in early talks for the role of Esther in Paramount's remake of the sword 'n sandals epic.
Paramount and MGM's upcoming retelling of Ben-Hur would hardly be considered a comic book movie (though as you can see below, there have been a few comic adaptations of the classic tale), but it might just star an actress who looks set to be one of the biggest CBM names in the geekosphere when she portrays Wonder Woman for the first time on the big screen in Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Gal Gadot, who will also reprise the role in the Justice league movies and a solo Wonder Woman flick, is in early talks to play the female lead role of Esther, a slave with whom Ben-Hur is in love. Jack Huston will play the titular Jewish Prince and Toby Kebbell the villain of the piece, Messala. Morgan Freeman is also on board as the man who trains Ben-Hur. Timur Bekmambetov will direct from a script by Keith Clarke and John Ridley. Ben-Hur will film early next year in Europe for release on February 26, 2016.
