WONDER WOMAN Gets An Official PG-13 Rating For The Usual Reasons, Plus Some "Suggestive Content"

Not in the least bit surprisingly, Warner Bros. and Patty Jenkins' first big-screen outing for Wonder Woman has received the usual comic book movie rating from The MPAA. More details after the jump...

The Motion Picture Association of America's Classification and Rating Administration board have given Wonder Woman a PG-13 rating for "sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive content."

The action stuff is expected, as we already know there's going to be some fairly intense war sequences in the film, but from the sounds of this things might also be getting a bit intense between Diana (Gal Gadot) and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) - at least, to the point that the rating allows.

Of course, PG-13 is the standard superhero movie rating, and although there have been a couple of recent R-rated exceptions to the rule, we knew about them well in advance.

Wonder Woman - which will actually be director Patty Jenkins' first non-R-rated theatrical release - is set to hit theaters on June 2.
