Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is the fourth film in the DC Extended Universe. We first had Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and then Suicide Squad (2016). For most people, those first three films were a enormous disappointment. However, fear not, as Wonder Woman is truly the greatest film in the DCEU so far.
Gal Gadot is amazing as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and gives her best performance yet. She is equal parts stunning at destroying a ton of villains in style, while also being a simple but strong woman. Something I love about this portrayal of the character is that Gadot never tries to be an amazing warrior, she just simply is.
Chris Pine portrays Steve Trevor and he is also amazing, and him and Gal Gadot have absolutely fantastic chemistry that always works, and never falls flat.
The action in Wonder Woman is also the most visually impressing. Wonder Woman's action scenes, while not too many, always offer something amazing for the fans to sit back, relax, and enjoy. These scenes are also flawless due to the fact that they actually have emotional weight to them, whereas films like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad, while they had action, you did not care about the characters involved in said action scenes, because of the fact that the characters were not developed at all in the film. In Wonder Woman, when there is an action sequence, you always care about our heroes involved, because our characters actually are devloped in the film.
