Though it was never officially announced that Jessica Chastain was playing Shi'ar Empress Lilandra Neramani in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, because she's the character that was mentioned in the initial trade reports we all just assumed it must be the case.
Well, not according to Chastain herself.
Earlier today, the Interstellar actress shared an Instagram snap from her first day of filming, before posting the following comment in response to a fan asking who she was playing.
The comment now appears to have been deleted, which might suggest that she was just having some fun, or that she thought better of making such a big reveal public.
