Speaking to
MTV while promoting his new film
Contagion, Matt Damon - perhaps best known for his role as Jason Bourne in the
Bourne trilogy - has confirmed once and for all that he'll have nothing to do with the next
Bourne film,
The Bourne Legacy (starring Jeremy Renner in the lead role), debunking rumors of his possibly having a cameo in the film. He's also asked about shaving his head for Neil Blomkamp's upcoming sci-fi flick
Elysium, to which he said that we should ask Blomkamp.
On the possibility of having a cameo in The Bourne Legacy...
No I have no idea about any of it. All I know is that it doesn’t preclude Paul [Greengrass] and me from doing another one of ours. No, no [you won't see me in the background of the new one]. He's got a whole other thing that they're doing and I wish them well and Tony [Gilroy's] really smart. I'm sure they're going to be great.
On his role in Elysium and having a bald head...
Ask Neil Blomkamp; he's a very visual guy and this was a part of his idea.
The Bourne Legacy hits theaters August 3rd, 2012, while
Elysium arrives March 1st, 2013.
