Following the Rome premiere, the first reactions for Christopher McQuarrie's highly-anticipated Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One have arrived online and, they're overwhelmingly positive as critics heap immense praise on Tom Cruise's latest action blockbuster.
While Cruise receives top marks for once again delivering the best movie of the year, there's plenty of love to go around for the director and entire cast, especially former Marvel star and franchise newcomer Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger; Avengers: Endgame), who ends up stealing the show in her debut as the mysterious Grace.
The action is described as next level incredible, which should come as a surprise to no one, and the third act seems to be the biggest highlight, leaving many on the absolute edge of their seats.
It's also been confirmed that Part One doesn't end on any sort of huge cliffhanger, so it is a complete film that can stand on its own, but it sure sounds like once the credits roll, fans across the world will be jonesing for Part Two!

In addition to Cruise as the headliner, the highly anticipated McQ-directed action blockbuster will also see the return of Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Academy Award-nominee Vanessa Kirby as the White Widow, Frederick Schmidt as Zola, and Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge.
