Variety reports that Bloodstrike is being brought to the big screen from Adi Shankar's '1984 Private Defense Contractors' (he has previously co-financed The Grey, Machine Gun Preacher and the planned all-female riff on The Expendables). He will produce the film alongside Rob Liefeld and Brooklyn Weaver. Despite the fact that it lasted for only 23 issues during its initial run in the 90s, the series sold over 30 million copies. With the aim of launching a franchise, the site describes the project as focusing on, "a Bloodstrike unit consisting of a team of super-soldiers who have secretly been imbued with vampire blood -- making them an elite strike force feared by all enemies."

What a surprise, Liefield went out of his way to avoid drawing feet in this illustration.

Not a single foot in that pic, wonder why... Stop this insanity, no more money for Liefeld!

The only character that looks slightly original there is the 4-armed person and that one looks even more ass than the others.

If we're gonna talk rip-off's then Deadpool is a rip-off from Deathstroke the Terminator. He started as a parody of Deathstroke and then fanboys took him to heart and look where he is now. The fact that Rob Liefield created him as such is no surprise when you look at the crap above being turned into a movie and all the characters are more parodies of already established superheroes.

So every fanboy can cuss that no talent idiot for his unoriginal characters and lack of basic drawing skills, but you all love one of his rip-offs too much to include it where it belongs!

@Ceejay

Deathstroke is some kind of rip-off from Deathlok the Demolisher.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deathlok

Most of the heroes are a rip-off of another hero (the design or the powers).

Moon Knight (M)/Batman (DC)
Sentinel (M)/Superman (DC)
Black Spider (DC)/Spider-Man (M)

and the list goes on.

The problem with Liefeld, is that it's too obvious.

Do those guns have triggers, or do you just squeeze the handle to fire them?

Rob Liefeld, the worst thing to happen to comics.
I guess he gives hope to those who have no talent, no creativity or originality to still be able to make it.

What an absolute joke..I'm talking about all of this.
Liefeld is a joke,his art is a joke,this movie is a joke..all just a very,very bad joke.

Liefeld a.k.a. Worlds Worst Comic Artist, has created nothing original & his art is crap.
His costumes & weapons look pathetic. The bodies & facial expressions are just awful.

He tried to get Tom Cruise & Will Smith years ago to attach themselves to his terrible projects & not long ago it was announced that Youngblood was going to be a movie soon.
Bloodstrike,Youngblood..please someone bleed out Liefeld so he has no more bloody bad ideas!

Tagline: There Will Be Pouches
And no feet or hands should appear on camera.
Get some flexible actors so they can run Liefeld-pose-style.

And everyone must grimace at all times.
All female roles should be played by women with amputated legs mounted on fake lower halves so that the Liefeld-wasp-back effect can be achieved.
And scene 1 is the team infiltrating a generic base.

First they have to cast people that are disproportionate, and the directors has to film from the ankles up.

As an associate of Rob, I have nothing against him as a person. He's a nice guy and great dad.

I'm not a fan of his comics or creations , but I know he has optioned a lot of them and like most, this one will never see the big screen.

Options are like extra money for comic book creators and while we like to hype them they rarely come through.

Okay, so it's Liefelds ripoff of Wolverine.

His parody of a parody, Lobo.

Then it's his parody of a parody of his parody.

It pathetic when people have to ripoff Liefeld, it's even more pathetic when Liefeld rips off himself.....
