As reported awhile ago, the graphic novel Batman: Year One is getting an animated adaption. A fan site known as Batman on Film, is reporting that the highly anticipated direct-to-DVD animated PG-13 feature is set to come out on September 27th, 2011. The site doesn't give a source, so don't count it as official yet. Still, that date would make sense.

Batman: Year One tells the story of Bruce Wayne's early days as Batman after he returns to Gotham City from his years of traveling and studying abroad. The story also talks about young Jim Gordon, the future police commissioner, as he joins the Gotham P.D. and becomes engulfed in the corruption of the city.
