We saw some pretty cool promotional posters for The LEGO Batman Movie earlier on, but now Warner Bros. has released 6 official character banners giving us new looks at The Dark Knight (Will Arnett), The Joker (Zach Galifianakis), Harley Quinn (Jenny Slate), Robin (Michael Cera), Batgirl (Rosario Dawson), and Alfred (Ralph Feinnes).

Tell us, are you looking forward to this one? If it's even half as enjoyable as The LEGO Movie, we should be in for a treat.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO® Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

The LEGO Batman Movie also stars Rosario Dawson (Batgirl), Ralph Feinnes (Alfred), and Mariah Carey (Gotham's mayor). The movie is set to hit theaters February 10, 2017.

How many Lego Batman movies have they made already?
MovieMonster

@DVonShakari - Well, there was a direct-to-DVD movie that was made up of the cut scenes in the Lego Batman 2 game. Then there was The Lego Movie where Batman played a supporting role. Then theres this. So three movies so far.

Did anyone else notice that Harley's shirt says "Smylex"?

@Darkknight2149 - I hope there are lots of other fun little references like that in the movie.

This only proves that DC has no real faith in their other characters.......its Batman everything these days....

I was just watching The Dark Knight, and I realized something crazy...

Heath Ledger's Joker is inspired by Michael Jackson.

@Vanity - How so?

Why are animated movies better than live action movies like 70% of the time? And why does no one acknowledge it?
Twerysil
Twerysil - 12/19/2016, 6:30 PM
@Vanity - for example, Inside Out shits on the majority of the blockbuster films of 2015, with the exception of some of the Oscar nominated films. Idgi...

Aren't live action movies easier to make? What's the equation?
DVonShakari
DVonShakari - 12/19/2016, 6:37 PM
@Vanity - Maybe because animated movies come with the expectation of being light-hearted and "real" movies sometimes just try too hard....sometimes actors can suck and use dumb facial expressions at the wrong time....
SpoonWielder
SpoonWielder - 12/19/2016, 6:56 PM
@Vanity - It's because animated movies are in constant state of self-improvement. It's a whole lot easier on an animated movie to remove and redo an entire sequence if it's not working. Whereas with live action you're kind of handcuffed to what you filmed in production. So it's a lot harder to fix something. Especially because it costs a whole lot more to get actors and crew back to film something. Occasionally you can fix it with reshoots, but not always. Plus, most animated movies are made of a period of like 4 years, whereas most big blockbusters now are around 2. There's just more time and work thrown into animated films usually.

In terms of getting celebrity voices to play a superhero, Jenny Slate is a perfect choice for Harley Quinn.
