We first met Kang the Conqueror in Loki's season finale when He Who Remains was outed as the mastermind behind the TVA and Sacred Timeline.
The episode ended with the God of Mischief stranded in a timeline where a Kang Variant was openly in charge of the TVA, and it remains unclear whether that's the same villain we'll see take centre stage in next month's Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania! Heck, we don't even know if he will be Avengers: The Kang Dynasty's big bad!
Following reports that Avengers: Secret Wars' lead villain is another Kang Variant - read more about that here - reliable insider @MyTimeToShineH has teased fans by promising that "there's more" to come.
Marvel Studios missed a trick by not including Rama Tut in Moon Knight, but Scarlet Centurion, Victor Timely, Nathaniel Richards, Iron Land, and even Doom The Annihilating Conqueror are all Variants we can imagine showing up sooner rather than later.
Despite that, Majors is currently only confirmed for the movie mentioned above, though we have a feeling more than a few surprise cameos and appearances are being planned.
During a recent interview with Nerdbunker, the actor shared his hopes for the time-travelling baddie. "I think with Kang, my objective with every role I play is to make them as universal and as human as possible. I think we'd be lucky, you know, for these next phases to have a big bad that also allows the audiences to oscillate between cheering and booing."
"What Josh Brolin did so beautifully with Thanos was that he tried to make him as three-dimensional as possible to make it very clear and he really believed in it. Which is why I think it was so morally ambiguous as to how bad he is. And I also think that the word villain, and the more anti-hero-hero you are, the deeper your constitution has to be."
We're definitely intrigued and excited to see what the future holds in store for Kang in the MCU, and we'll get to see what he's capable of for the first time on February 17 in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania!
