A week ago, Ant-Man director, Edgar Wright started a rumor on Twitter that he has directed a "one-shot" for a summer movie. The director has since revealed it will not be Iron Man 3.

A bout three days ago, Edgar Wright said he had shot a "One-Shot" for a summer movie, the internet jumped to the conclusion that he had shot a after credits scene for Iron Man 3, which would reveal who is playing Hank Pym. The director tweeted this:

Aside from ‘The World’s End’, I directed one shot in another summer movie. But which? #IProbablyWillNotTell

— edgarwright (@edgarwright) April 9, 2013

Then just last night he tweeted this

@mikewasowzki Because I am worried you may do something rash, I can exclusively reveal it is NOT in ‘Iron Man 3′.
— edgarwright (@edgarwright) April 9, 2013

But he did say some of us got it right, does that mean he shot a one-shot. The only other film is Thor 2, but that comes out in November.

What film do you guys think? Comment below and let me know!

As I read his original tweet again, I think he meant "one shot" as one scene, and not "one shot" as in Marvel Blu-ray Short One Shot. Joss Whedon directed the tag at the end of Thor so Wright probably did something for The Dark World which could be completely unrelated to Ant-Man.

"The only other film is Thor 2"

I didn't knew that there was only two movies premiering this summer...

It could be anything, probably NOT a CBM. Does anyone have access to the "guesses" that were send to him on Twitter?

He said a few got it right, so it should be one that was mentioned more than once.

Some people are saying it's scene from Star Trek with Simon Pego, other than that I'm still on the guess it's Iron Man 3 and he has just been caught.

Who knows, he could have substituted for Second Unit director on any movie this year. And what if he means the test footage of Ant-Man we already saw? I have to say, Ant-Man is my most anticipated release from Marvel Studios because of this man Edgar. It'll be a fun ride.

But a shot is not the same as a scene, unless the scene is one continuous take. Tarantino did a scene for Sin City, which I think ended up being one shot as well.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's something for a friend. Or maybe he did a shot in Machete Kills. Perhaps he did a shot of Pegg for Star Trek 2. Dunno, but assuming it's got to be a Marvel movie seems like a dead end, especially since he's denied the only summer Marvel movie.

@ruadh That's what I meant, one continuous take. No cuts, no other angles. It could one single shot of a film or an after-credits scene like the shawarma.

Probably meant a One Shot that will be included on a future dvd release for IM 3 or Thor 2, not an actual after credits scene for either film.

It is DEFINITELY that...or something else. I agree.

Good point @batz11. Then again, Iron Man 3 teases another Marvel property that's "hard to sell" ;)

It's probably Star Trek since his buddy Simon Pegg is in it.

An Ant-Man teaser seems A LOT more likely for The Avenger 2, especially since its only months apart.

he might just be denying because he's been caught out

The headline on this article is really misleading. "He shot a "one shot" for a summer movie."

What he actually said is "directed one shot". Sounds like a pick up, or an exterior or something. REALLY seems like a mountain from a mole hill here.

"@Ruadh
Fixed it!"

Hardly. It's the word "a" that I argue against. "A one shot" is actually very different from "one shot". That's what got everyone thinking it's one of those one shot extras for a Marvel movie bluray release, when in fact he simply says "directed one shot", which makes it sound completely insignificant.

"Who said it had to be this summer?"

No one, but how many 2014 summer movies are being shot right now?

Heh. I didn't misunderstand anything. If anything, you misunderstood what the issue was.

He tweeted something, using specific language, and now people are scrutinizing how you rephrased it. It's a game of telephone where it was distorted with the first person.

Thanks for being nice though!

Shame it's not IM3, I kind of already thought of how it might go...

Fury: Stark I have a new recruit for the Avengers Initiative. (handing Tony a dosier)
Tony: Great a man that can talk to Ants, what's next a guy with claws or a human spider?
