The eagle eyed folks over at Bleeding Cool point out that during the world premiere of Ant-Man, it was revealed that Martin Donovan is playing Mitchell Carson in the finale of Marvel's Phase 2. Who? Well, in the comics, he's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was chosen to become the new Ant-Man before the suit was stolen by Eric O'Grady. He then went after the crook in a hastily thrown together prototype, but was left horribly disfigured in a fight with the man who stole his costume.

Donovan then went on to become a villain and was eventually imprisoned by Iron Man. There's every chance that none of this will end up making it into either Ant-Man or a possible sequel, but it's an interesting choice of character to include in the movie given his history. What do you think?

Interesting. I almost thought Ant-Man was going to be the first one and done movie of the MCU.

Donovan will be one or done.

Spoilers, kinda:

He's in the flashback as a young guy, modern day as an old guy. He's basically just a douche

LMAO Gusto. Priceless. I won't be satisfied until everyone is convinced SuperCat is pure evil.

Well, Josh, that's what you get for trying to have a life in the week leading up to SDCC.

Probably a prudent move. Some people just aren't ready to face the evil that lurks in SuperCat's heart.

I didn't actually hate Terminator Genisys. Far too much CGI for my liking, but it's not bad per se. It's not really good either, but it's watchable! Better than 3 or 4, nowhere near as good as 1 and 2. I feel like I would have enjoyed it much more had they not spoiled that big twist because it would have made the whole final act more impactful. Interesting take on the franchise, some solid performances (Jason Clarke is awesome), cool Arnie moments, but too much of an over reliance on special effects and story is a bit busy.

Just because they used a comic character's name, doesn't mean they're going to use him in the same capacity.

Or do I need to remind you of Eric Savin, aka "Coldblood", who had exactly none of his cybernetic traits in Ion Man 3?
