Marvel Studios has moved the 2015 release of Joss Whedon's
Avengers: Age Of Ultron to April 24 from its original May release in the UK and Ireland.
The UK and Eire tend to benefit from most big comic book flicks opening a little earlier; most recently both
Captain America: The Winter Soldier and
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 -- which still doesn't officially release until May 2. The
Avengers sequel is still set for a May 1 release in the US.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will bring the Marvel Universe's biggest heroes together again to face one of their biggest villains, with "Marvel's The Avengers" director Joss Whedon returning to write and direct the sequel."Marvel's The Avengers" was released in 2012 and went on to earn $1.5 billion worldwide, making it the third-largest grossing movie of all time.
