Iron Man and Star-Lord. Black Widow and Okoye. These are just a few of the characters that will be meeting and interacting for the first time when Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters later this month, and fans around the world are excited to see them all.

Yet, despite knowing the film we see a wide variety of characters unite, it’s easy to forget that Infinity War will also see plenty of actors working together for the first time. In a recent interview, Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson commented on that experience.

“It’s wonderful. I love working with actors,” Johansson said. “If I can help in any possible way to make another actor feel more comfortable or maybe discover new choices or help them get acclimated to what could maybe sometimes feel like a cool kids club, it’s great.”

Also, with the likes of Captain Marvel coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the recent praise directed at the Dora Milaje, the actress discussed the growing diversity in the MCU — particularly as it pertains to its representation of women.

It’s really great to see a more diverse group and certainly great to see that the audiences are embracing and even asking for really strong female super heroines. They’re hungry for those stories, and they also want to see a more diverse group that better represents the population. It’s wonderful to feel like you’ve witnessed and been a part of that growth,”

While we’ve recently heard about Johansson and other actresses in the MCU pitching an all-female led movie, the Avengers star revealed she’s been pushing to have “some more female energy” in Marvel films for years.

Why not "Hulk and Black Panther"?

I'm pretty sure Widow and Panther already met in Civil War.

But yeah, I wouldn't mind a solo Black Widow widow film. On this site I feel I'm in the minority when I say I like ScarJo's iteration of the character, she's just not that much like her comic counterpart.

Plus she's fine as hell.

@L0RDbuckethead - I don’t think you are actually in the minority there. Although I would argue that she isn’t that dissimilar to her comic counterpart, not anymore than anyone else. Though a huge part of that depends on how you read the character and hear her in your head. That could make the difference seem a lot bigger.

Scarlett Johansson is great. And the Dora Milaje are cool. Hope Widow and Okoye or Ayo share a fight scene.

Heck yeah. Give me solo films for Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Spectrum. Bring in that female energy.

I know it won't happen but I really wish Daredevil would play a role in the Black Widow Solo movie.
