Chris Hemsworth had even more to say concerning THOR and The Avengers at the Golden Globes last night.

Chris Hemsworth answered some more questions concerning THOR and The Avengers on the red carpet at The Golden Globes last night. He goes on the talk about Natalie Portman, his new found stardom and the floods in his native Australia.

I have transcribed the portions of the interview pertinent to THOR and The Avengers that we have not previously heard.

On THOR...

It's incredible. It's based on the comic book and it's a beautiful meld of Viking and Norse mythology and science fiction and he becomes Earth bound. It's got everything, love, action, a bit of comedy.

On The Avengers...

The whole thing with Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and THOR. I just read the script, an early draft and it's mind blowing. I have no idea how they're going to shoot it. It's huge and incredible.

Nice one HAWKS! I think he'll be great in Thor and cannot wait until we start seeing and hearing more about The Avengers...good few months wait for that though I'd guess! :)

But what happens if Thor and Cap bomb? I mean I really hope they don't, but will they still make this movie if they do? Cause it would be pretty damn weird.

I'm getting more and more excited to see these movies. 2011-2012 is going to frickin' awesome for comic book movies!

when i saw him being asked in "Star Trek" that he was -"in charge Cap Kirk"... and his eyes looked towards the camera with those beedy eyes... i knew they had a good character... just beef him up! which they did... I just wanted Marvel to potray him as a 7' foot entity like they did in the mags... LOTR's pulled it off sooo...

Man, Chris is just such a down-to-earth kinda
every day Auzzie guy with a huge amount of
charisma! He just ain't aloof, very gracious
man!

I'm so happy they got him for Thor cuz he is
the living breathing embodiement of MARVEL'S
THOR! FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC!

He really sounds excited to do AVENGERS, like
he actually likes the whole thing! It's gonna
be like he said...MINDBLOWING, especially for me
cuz I really didn't think I'd see an AVENGERS
movie in my whole lifetime! 'sniff'--lol

Being a huge comc fan like I am (Yup HUGE--LOL)
and being Norwegian and loving Thor's character
at Marvel, if I got the chance to play him I
just might have a coronary right on the spot!
LOL

I actually dressed like MARVEL'S Thor at Halloween
one time, with the long blond wig and helmet (as
close as I could get to it anyway) and being
6'6" and built like I am everybody said I looked
frighteningly like him! LOL Of course everybody use to
say that about me all the time anyway cuz I had
long light brown/reddish hair when I was a really
young guy and I have blue eyes. A lot of people use
to call me THE VIKING! LOL (True story!)

Awesome news , and I think we can all thank Disney for taking over Marvel because of that they have the muscle they need to make this movie as huge and incredible as it needs to be .

I'm afraid it's always just PR talk. Now I'm not suggesting that the script ISN'T mind blowing, but I will never take an actor/director/producers word on anything, and I never will unless someone can point me to an interview done before a film's release in which someone says:

"Well, actually, it's not gonna be that great really..."

Good point Ror. It's almost like when you see a friend or family member talking about a deceased loved one on the news "they were just the nicest person ever."

I know for a fact that everybody isn't nice. I'd love just once, to see someone say "oh they were such an ass, nobody ever liked them."

I love how a lot of people are complaining about Hemsworth's hight and size, you can clearly see him TOWERING over people, i dont think size is an issue for Thor
