Gwyneth Paltrow Probable To Reprise 'Pepper Potts' In Iron Man 3 & The Avengers!

A recent interview with the actress behind 'Pepper Potts' of the Iron Man franchise, Gwyneth Paltrow is more probable she'll reprise the role in Iron Man 3 & The Avengers!

Despite believing late last year she wouldn't appear due to filming approaching, in a recent chat on the “Something For the Weekend” cooking show, actress Gwyneth Paltrow seemed more than likely sure she'll reprise her 'Pepper Potts' role in the Shane Black-directed Iron Man 3 film. And more surprisingly, the actress was probable of firstly appearing in Joss Whedon's actioner Marvel's The Avengers.

I’ll probably be in Iron Man 3, Ill possibly be very briefly in the avengers… maybe… we’ll see.

While it may just be a brief appearance, maybe considered a cameo, It'll be refreshing to see Pepper Potts on the screen again, not having to wait 'til 2013. Now it'd be even more interesting to see James Rhodes in the mix. What do you think?

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston & Stellan Skarsgård, the film releases May 4, 2012!

i can see why she'd be in iron man 3,she is as important to tony stark as alfred is to bruce wayne.

but is she really needed for the avengers,i don't think so.

Guys, as sad as this is, I really doubt that they're going to bring back General Ross considering that the Incredible Hulk was the least successful movie so far and that people will probably not remember it as much.

Plus, I have a feeling that they might be trying to get people to forget about that movie since Mark Ruffalo took over the role. I could be wrong though, but this is just my guess.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Gwyneth in the Avengers for a few seconds. I like her as Pepper and I love seeing her and RDJ interact with each other in the movies.

Jane Foster seems the real question mark... More than Betty Ross or Pepper Potts, it seems like she'd be needed for the transition to the Avengers, considering how Thor ended.

THOR did an estimated $66 million weekend, that's good if it can sustain a low drop off for next week. Should hit 100 mill by Thursday or friday! Internationally, the movie has earned $242 million since its opening two weeks ago.

1 Thor - $66,000,000
2 Fast Five - $32,519,000
3 Jumping the Broom - $13,700,000
4 Something Borrowed - $13,155,000
5 Rio - $8,200,000

They need all the women to help cement the foundations of the Avengers, even if it is just cameos. None of the main characters are just there to turn up and fight, each of their own films shows their lives and their backgrounds therefore some part of that needs to be evident in the Avengers in order for it to have a point to build from.

That's good to hear, of course she'd be in Iron Man 3.
And what Chewtoy said, considering how Thor ended, Jane being in Avengers would make sense. Maybe (don't read if you don't like spoilers and haven't seen Thor yet) when Thor returns to earth, he looks for Jane but she isn't present (enter Eric Selvig returning).

It makes perfect sense.

This is a big movie, so if Pepper, Jane and Betty take part of the heroes life, they should appear on this movie too, not neccesary on a decent role, but at least one litte scene that shows they are still in this same universe.

I think Betty is almost a must in this movie, Hulk/Bruce needs Betty, always has needed her, so she should have one or two scenes at least.

The emotional side of theses movies use to be the love interest of the heroes, so I really hope Marvel isnt cheap at all with this decision.

This is ok news but I really would like to find out which heroes are gonna actually be in the movie. We know Thor, Ironman, Hulk and Cap now Hawkeye but what about Antman?, Wasp?, Black Panther? Submariner even?

i do not think that Natalie Portman will be in the avengers unless they paid her a lot of money but i do believe that we might see Betty Ross again.

Yes actually that chances are very good she will be in the Avengers. She stated in a video interview she signed a 3 picture contract and said she didnt know what movies they would be for because the options are Thor sequel and Avengers and also stated she didnt know exactly how much screen time she would be getting. so basically she already is paid and will be obligated to Marvel at a minimum two more times. Given Avengers will be out prior to a Thor sequel my bet is she will be in Avengers and more than likely is key in finding a worm hole to get Thor back to earth or vice versa Thor finds one to get back to her.

I mean if they are literally filming it like it's the comic, then it would make sense to see her and Rhodey in like one seen talking to Tony or something.

For the Avengers I think Sif and the Warriors Three, Pepper Potts, Betty Ross, Dum Dum Dugan, and Odin need to appear. I mean they dont have to be main characters but they should appear because of how big a part they played in each of their characters respective movies.

it would be awesome if pepper potts, betty ross and jane foster will appear in the avengers, but i think it's too expensive... a cameo maybe
ragmuon
ragmuon - 5/8/2011, 5:25 PM
they need pepper pots because the mansion is owned by tony stark, and pepper is the caretaker and CEO of Stark's, betty ross, i think she's not needed, and for jane,in thor she works with shield along w/ darcy, and would play a vital role for Dr. selvig confrontation since he was conrolled by loki, and she was like a daughter to him... loki might use her also to lure thor...

no need for her in the avengers. if they must, i hope she just has a 5 second cameo.

This weekends box office stats seem to indicate THOR is off to a solid, but not epic start. When you get away from the gross (mostly as a result of 60% of THOR screenings being on premium 3D and 3D IMAX screens)and focus on the actual attendance numbers, they reveal THOR finished behind the FF rise of the silver surfer and the second Hulk film. I wonder if this will reignite the debate over the wisdom of releasing THOR overseas two weeks ahead of North America. I know it was supposed to take advantage of Mayday and greater knowledge of Norse gods among the non comic book fans of Europe as opposed to their American counterparts, but the gap in release dates presented an opportunity for Universal to slip FAST FIVE in ahead of THOR for a monster start to the summer movie season in America. As far as supporting characters in THE AVENGERS,there is a danger of weighing this movie down with a cast of thousands. This movie needs to be lean and mean.We already know that THE AVENGERS line up will include,Ironman,Captain America,Thor,The Hulk,Black widow and Hawkeye, under the supervision/command of Nick Fury, agent Colson and Maria Hill.We also know that they will be opposed by Loki, maybe the Skrulls and who knows what else. Anybody else has to serve to move the film along. A cameo with General Ross makes sense since it could take place in a scene where SHIELD moves in to take over the pursuit of the Hulk from the US Army. Imagine a scene like the one between Colson and Jane in THOR,except where Nick Fury and his agents barge in on General Ross at his command post with written orders from the President to stand down.If we are to get an alien invasion plot, does anybody think the US Military would stand aside and let SHIELD deal with it alone. General Ross might wonder if the President was an alien (talk about ripping a story out of the headlines.) Remember, at the end of the Hulk film it was the US Army that had custody of Blonsky. Maybe he gets to be free if he works for the Army again.

@JHowlett - The Avengers will be:

Captain America
Iron man
Thor
Hulk
Hawkeye
Black Widow

with SHIELD agents Fury, Coulson and Hill tagging along.

Most likely we'll get cameos from Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne as scientists or something, but they won't be showing up as their alter-egos. We'll have to wait and see if there will be any cameos from any other members.

It's good she's in it since Stark Industries will have a lot to do with The Avengers initiative.

I hope General Ross is in it too. Obvously the cosmic cube is what gets Thor back to earth. Wouldn't make sense not to have a Jane Foster cameo given how Thor ended and since Dr. Selvig will return. Thor made a promise and I would imagine would seek out Jane immediately.
