Is This An Idea Of Black Widow's New Look In The Avengers?

A new image of Scarlett Johannson with much shorter hair than usual seems to hint that the Avengers' version of Natalie Romanoff might be a more classic approach. Hit the jump for more details!

Recently, Scarlett Johannson - who portrays Black Widow in both Marvel Studios' Iron Man 2 and the upcoming The Avengers - was recently spotted at an awards show with VERY short hair (unlike a few weeks ago, where her hair more resembled the Ultimate version of Black Widow). Here's the photo...



For those who haven't noticed, her current hairstyle very closely resembles the original version of Black Widow, as displayed here:



With The Avengers filming well underway with ScarJo still filming scenes, could this mean that her look for this film will be all the more different from her look in last year's Iron Man 2? Sound off what you think in the comments below.

interesting... i'll see how it looks when she's in costume... but i kinda liked her look for IM2... still idk it might not be bad...

That pic of Black Widow is what Frank Miller did to her look during his Daredevil run. The version of her in IM2 is closer to the original.

Either way, they're not going with the Miller outfit. They'll go with a similar design to IM2, which is the SHIELD outfit.

That is her look from most of the 80's and 90's,definitely not her original look.

I don't think her hair is any shorter than it was a couple weeks ago in those other photos. I think it's just the way it's styled that makes it look super short.

Actually, you're ALL wrong! The Widow's original costume consisted of a masquerade ball mask, Fishnet stockings, a mini-skirt, a bustier, gloves and a short cape.

The look that inspired the IM2 outfit originated in the '70s, in Amazing Adventures #1. The Widow continued to wear this outfit throughout her time appearing in Avengers, DD, The Champions, and Marvel Fanfare.

She debuted the short-haired, grey bodysuit look in the pic above during the mid-'80s.

She looked too 'made up' in IM2...those big silly curls in her hair. Joss probably put an end to that. Or her hair was cut to allow for a more natural looking wig. Just saying.

I HATE short hair like that on chicks. She had the perfect look in IM2...she was just missing the Russian accent.
