With production currently underway, a main setting in Marvel's highly-anticipated film
The Avengers, where the heroes interact, is reportedly the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier, which is also said to be the studios' largest set piece yet. And with that, a
Twitter user's recent mention of the ship appearing in Marvel Studios'
Avengers follow-up, the Shane Black-directed
Iron Man 3, seems likely.
Although how expensive the set piece is makes it likely, this news is surprising, considering the third
Iron Man installment was said to be more standalone than Last year's
Iron Man 2. And it's also said the Stark Tower would appear in
The Avengers. While this news could still be taken with a bowl of salt, what do you think? Anyhow,
Iron Man 3 is slated for theaters May, 3, 2013!
