THE AVENGERS 2 To Shoot In The UK Early Next Year
Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor: The Dark World were both shot in the UK, while Guardians of the Galaxy is also heading to this side of the pond later this year. Marvel Studios has now reportedly decided to bring Earth's Mightiest Heroes here too!
Marvel Studios has a great relationship with their UK fans - the fact that all but Captain America: The First Avenger was released here earlier than across the rest of the world helped see to that - and it appears as if they have so far enjoyed shooting their movies on this side of the pond enough to bring Earth's Mightiest Heroes here as well! According to Screen Daily, Marvel's The Avengers 2 will begin shooting at Pinewood-Shepperton in early 2014, while production is set to get underway later this year. While this isn't necessarily an indication that a lot of exteriors will be filmed in the UK (it is after all unlikely that the team will be relocating from their New York base), a good chunk of Thor: The Dark World takes place in London, while various part of the countryside were used to fill in for Asgard. James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy meanwhile will also take advantage of Shepperton Studios when filming on that movie begins in the summer.
