The latest installment of MTV's interview with the Captain America: TFA star sees him answering fan's Twitter questions, and one provoked a pretty interesting response..

MTV has opened up their interview with Chris Evan to fan's questions on Twitter. Now of course we got the usual rubbish about what type of eggs he prefers and who his celebrity crush is(It's Salma Hayek:) but shockingly enough, one fan actually asked Captain America a super hero related question!!



Asked who he thinks would win in a scrap between Iron Man and Cap, Evan surprisingly said..

"Unfortunately, probably Iron Man," he confessed. "I've got to be honest. I'm being real."


Well, good on ya Chris. Because yes, hand to hand with Tony Stark suited and booted I wouldn't hold out much hope for Cap. Of course both men armor less and weaponless would be a different story. Evans also revealed that his favorite superhero growing up was Spider-Man. Oh, and that he sings in the shower. You heard it here second folks!

Of course Iron-Man! Captain America would get faceraped and hanged by him. Captain America is way more interesting and cooler but he would die, horribly.

Depends on where they are. If they're inside of a building where Iron Man can't fly too far out of Captain America's reach, I think Cap could pull it off. Bucky has before.

And that's what Cap does, really. He can kick-ass, but his better advantage is knowing how to win a fight.

So, Batman can kick the shit out of anybody, including Superman, but Cap can't beat Iron Man? Whatever.

If it's straight on fisticuffs Iron Man would win, but Cap is a master strategist and tactician. Combine that with his shield, peak human body which doesn't tire easily and Cap takes the cake in my book.

Of course, it all depends on the writer.

Well, you could consider the fact that Cap's shield is made of a much tougher substance than Iron Man's armor. With as smart as Cap is in a fight, I don't think it is outside of the realm of possibility for Cap to just start winging his shield around and slowly take out Iron Man's armor. Like's been said before, if Stark comes out of his armor, it's over. I think the longer this fight goes, the better chance Cap has simply because he doesn't make mistakes and would know the right way to take Iron Man down.

actually, Iron Man pretty much beat the hell out of Cap both times they fought during Civil War.

the first time, Cap even tricked him and stuck an EMP on Stark's armor that shut it down temporarily, and Iron Man STILL beat him within an inch of his life, lol.

anyone that says Cap would win is delusional.

I'll give you the first time, but Cap had to contend with an armored Spider-Man at the same time.

I don't know what you're talking about the second time. Cap was on the verge of killing Tony before a bunch of paramedics and firemen pulled him off.

IM achilles heel is that he dislikes team work.

However, IM is like a super prepared Batman who has better armor, sensor and computer. Cap's vibranium shield can be taken out of equation with armor's magnetic generator.

If Batman has a belt, Iron Man has a full armor.

But Tony respects Steve fully.

@Frank Garret Cap used Vision to disable Iron Man's armor. Iron Man subdued Cap with recorded fighting moves + sonic generator, all by himself.

Iron Man is often called the "one man army" but because many feats he can do it by himself but ended up belittling other people abilities. That's his strength and weakness.

No Cap beat Iron Man when Vision fused inside his armor. Armor disabling thing only last 10 seconds.

I think he's right. We could do all these far fectched What-if? situations, but Tony with hissuit vs Steve with his shield, Tony wins. The guy has missiles!

If you limited it to hand to hand, allowing Cap his shiled, but no shield-throwing, I think he'd have a solid shot.

Orphix, nah I'm the same. I find the "Who would win" debate ridiculous, as Jack said there are too many variables, depends on the writer. Any scenario can be concocted to ensure anyone can beat anyone else. But, IF we are talking straight up Cap v Iron Man , shield V Armor with no "Well what if Cap had ..or what if Iron Man was drunk" ..just one on one in a wrestling ring say, Iron man would blast his [frick]ing face off.

also, the firemen and civilians didn't pull Cap off of Iron Man. Cap was getting thoroughly thrashed that whole last fight.

In fact, Cap pretty much got his arse kicked all through Civil War.

Dude. Iron Man has a battlesuit with missiles. It wasnt a fair fight to begin with.

During the final fight of the civil war, IM didn't get ANY shots in. Thunderbolts did, but not IM. Vision did his thing and that was all she wrote.

@Nomis: he did, but a big part of that was because Vision partially materialized himself in Stark's armor, and Cap did the rest.

@Corndogburglar: it wasn't really an EMP device, it was some sort of an encryption bug device.

Being that Cap is the guy that taught Tony how to fight, and Cap is the f'ing SUPER SOLDIER, has taken down the Hullk in hand-to-hand combat.....I'd have to say Steve all the way.

I think it could go either way, though I would cheer for Cap. Iron Man obviously has superior technology and weapons with his armor. Still, how many times has Cap beat someone much tougher by out thinking them in a fight. That's what he does, he's been doing it since WWII, and he's the best at it.

LOL! Iron-Man vs Cap. It could almost just as likely be Thor against Cap. It's like any superpowered being from DC against Batman. The mortals do not stand a chance. Of course, if it was Stark without the armor then Cap would kick his drunken ass. Otherwise, Cap is dead =)

I get your point, but the Superpowered DC character vs Batman is probably a bad example, since Batman's pretty much beaten everyone in the DC universe at least twice, lol.
