We recently brought you the news that Warner Bros. has a Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated movie in the works, and the first trailer is now online.

Based on the 2015 Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics miniseries by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II, the animated adventure will see the Heroes in a Half-Shell crossing paths with The Caped Crusader in Gotham City via a transdimensional portal.

The heroes may butt heads initially, but this first look at the movie makes it clear that they will eventually team up to take on the likes of Ras al Ghul, The Penguin and The Joker, as well as The Shredder and his Foot Clan.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

The movie stars Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Origins) as both Batman and The Joker, Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) as Raphael, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) as Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie) as Donatello, and Eric Bauza (The Woody Woodpecker Show) as Leonardo.

They join Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Batgirl, Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) as The Penguin, John DiMaggio (Adventure Time) as Mr. Freeze, Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls) as both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) as Bane, and Cas Anvar (The Expanse) as Ra's al Ghul.

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is expected to arrive on 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital late this spring.

This actually does look like fun. And Troy Baker as Batman and Joker? In my opinion he is pretty good at both, so why not both in the same movie

@MalseMarcel - Baker’s Batman is A+ material. Legit thought that was Conroy for a sec.

This movie looks dope and the voice acting is really good, i will say Batgirl is a bit off to what i was expecting, but thats ok because Troy Baker sounds amazing, i really like the homage to BTAS

@KWilly - In my opinion Baker's Batman is far better than that of O'Mara. But for me Bruce Greenwood really has that one Batman voice for me after Conroy

Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls) as both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy

Another example of Tara Strong playing with herself.

@Reeds2Much - Not the first time either—she voiced both in Scooby-Doo and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

that looks really cool, and well animated too. I miss when the DC animated movies had the look of the specific comic they were adapting, their quasi-anime/New 52 style just doesn't do it for me.

Grew up with the darker 2003 TMNT show, Big fan of the 90's movie too (the OG one and even the second one with Vanilla Ice in it, so much fun). Always been a gigantic fan of the Turtles and my favorite DC hero is without a doubt Batman. This trailer really warmed my heart. Looks great, Troy Baker sounds intimidating as Batman (great reprisal from Arkham Origins) and the Turtles look and sound good to (looks like they captured there personalities well). Pre-ordering this asap. This just looks like a fun crossover with a solid animation style, it's cartoon like, but not in a too childish way in my opinion. Looking forward to it!

Is this the first animated TMNT film to be PG-13? Anyway, looks really fun, will check it out.

This... might be the animated Batman movie that is the most appealing to me in quite some time.

The Shredder should get smeared across every surface by Batman without even getting the chance to land a single punch on Batman.

@KindredMac - It really depends on which Shredder you are referring to, the level of competence and fighting prowess varies greatly depending ont he continuity and which point of any contonuity you are referring to. Unless you are referring to the classic "I'm Batman" card, in that case I probably concur.

Totally excited.

That looks:

It's a bit crowded, but I guess it gives all 7 heroes a named villain to beat. Was also expecting a more humorous tone, this seems really serious, but it totally seems to work so I can't complain. The Bat team could use Nightwing to balance both teams 4 to 4!

HYPED!
