The next Dawn of DC comic, which will comprise of Bruce and Damien Wayne, will be arriving sometime in September, but fear not if you're raring to get a bit more insight into the new adventures, fans did get a little sneak peek before its street date. Under the name Batman and Robin, the new comic series will see the duo reuniting as hero and sidekick once again to investigate new mysterious cases and monsters across the iconic city of Gotham.

The news comes during MegaCon Orlando when DC shared a first look at the starting issue, featuring the cover image, exterior shots, gruesome surgery conducted on pigeons, and some design shots of the Robin Mobile.

Batman and Robin acts as the follow-up series to the recently finished Batman vs. Robin, which saw the two fighting against each other following the events of the Lazarus Pit.

The comic will be helmed by longtime DC writer Joshua Williamson, best known as the writer for The Flash, exclusive artist Simone Di Meo, who has worked on DC vs. Vampires and Batman: White Knight, will be in charge of the comic's art.

At this point, it isn't clear exactly when Batman and Robin #1 will go on sale, all we know right now is that it will be sometime in September of this year.

If we HAVE to keep Damien could he at least keep his melanin?

@Twenty23Three -
What melanin?
Kid is half white half middle eastern.
He looks the spitting image of his father.
I’m sure for some shots they can darken his skin a tiny bit, which they sometimes do.

Isnt damian supposed to be an absolue killer (reformed)?
His whole point was that he was this little kid who’s acting like a lethal hardened killer and the whole batfamily dealing with his antics lol.

Why is he smiling?
Why is he tall and gangly?
He looks like Tim Drake now, who is the batfamily geek. Damian is supposed to be this brat that clashes with Tim.

@Boredasffff - Because he’s growing up. He’s not 10 anymore. His still got all that al Ghul sass tho, so dw.

@PlusUltra -

He looks like a nerd and he’s smiling. They wouldn’t make jason todd smile in an action panel, yet they’re taking the most violent robin and changing him into this awkward skinmy teen. Tim drake was the most boring robin and they has no idea how to deal with drake so they made his defining trait lgbtq. If they keep this route they won’t know what to do with damian either.

@Boredasffff - Bring back Tomasi!

@Boredasffff - cos they ran out of story for him really quick. The most interesting he’s been was as Dicks Robin or as Jon’s friend. Sadly they aged up Jon but they 100% could have kept Tom as Bruce’s Robin and sent Damien to Bludhaven with Dick

I’ll check out but DickBats and Damien are still the GOATED dynamic duo.

@PlusUltra - I love Dick Grayson and Damien Wayne as a duo. The sarcasm and disrespect is always a plus but I do believe they genuinely see one another as blood brothers.

@PlusUltra - exactly, they should 100% have sent Damien to work with Nightwing.
