POLL RESULTS: Did Batman Fans Love THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Newest Trailer?
Now that we have all seen the new theatrical trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, here are the results of the poll I posted along with the trailer.
Over eleven thousand of you voted which is a whopping turnout. Of that number, nearly 73% found the new trailer to be awesome. The next highest tally was for very good, with nearly 18% of the vote. Clearly the overall reaction was extremely positive, and a 9% minority either thought trailer #3 was so-so, less than average, or downright poopy.
What did I like? Bane's voice. There was a huge improvement made to the sound quality of Bane's voice. It was much clearer, I understood everything that he said. That is a huge relief because I honestly struggled to understand much of what he was saying during the prologue.
Secondly, I was extremely happy to see Anne Hathaway all suited up in her Catwoman costume, and kicking some major ass. Outside of the sizzle reel we hadn't had a proper look at Hathaway's Catwoman. The third positive for me was seeing Batman's new flying vehicle soaring over Gotham, and doing a barrel-roll was simply outstanding.
Any negatives? Yes. I wish I could say it was perfect, but it wasn't. There is a very odd fight sequence between Bane and Batman in which both combatants are throwing some wild haymakers. These are not the type of punches you would expect from two well-trained individuals. The goofiness peaked when at one point Bane twirls like a ballerina and fires off a punch in midair. This left me scratching my head and wondering if I was perhaps watching a remake of West Side Story.
That was the only real beef that I had with the trailer, and it didn't keep me from enjoying the overall product. My vote? Awesome!
