It has the tough task of follow the highest grossing Comic Book adaptation of all time. So lets see some fan titles and decide which one is the best. Who knows, maybe it may be the title for Batman 3.

Well, "THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS" is the obvious choice. But I would like "KNIGHT OVER GOTHAM" INSTED. It's more creative.
..and a poster like this...

What about simply Batman 3? Or Batman's Reign, Batman:Mystery, Batman Absolution. And after the second one, I belive that he should be absolved of all of his supposed crimes, hence the name. Also a cool name.

I don't want a title that matches a graphic novel title (Dark Victory, Dark Knight Returns) because it wouldn't be an adaptation of that story. I like Gotham City, but the title always goes with the story. I don't think Gotham City makes sense for this movie any more than it does for the first two.

How about Batman: Knightfall?

Nolan's title always has to do with the plot's finale. Batman Begins: Obviously Wayne became Batman. The Dark Knight: Batman becomes a wanted criminal (remember he's taking the blame for the guys Harvey killed).

So since Nolan said the 3rd will be his last, I like

Gotham Endgame
Batman Redeemed
Batman: New Dawn

Villians-wise, I hope we get Harlequin and The Riddler who are inspired by The Joker.

I think that "The Batman" or "Knightfall" would probably work, or maybe even "Rise Of The Bat." I don't know what does anyone think of "Rise Of The Bat"?

I agree grif! That Catwoman poster looks like a man. Definitely not a good job. As for the title, Knightfall would be cool, but that was synonymous with a great story in the comics, as was The Dark Knight Returns. Why not just Batman?

I like caped Crusader because this movie is going to see how Batman deals with being a one man army and not not depending on Jim Gordon for any help. But the again since I heard that this will be the final installment and Christopher Nolan isnt making anymore Batman movies after this ( If I'm wrong guys tell me cause I'm not really sure if it will be his last Batman mvoie i just read from somewhere) Since its the last the movie should be either call Batman: Gotham's Greatest Detective or just Gotham's Greates Detective because think about it in this movie Batman is going to have to fight for himself and if Riddlers in it its going to be more challenging for Batman plus Joker will have a little scene in it too so this Movie is going to be Batmans Toughest life and he's going to have use his knowlege alot making him Gotham's finest detective and i could see Jim Gordon saying it at the End of the 3rd movie when all chaos dies down in gotham due to the Batman

Well this is a really good question. I would definitely like that they come up with the title that is original and creative and that it doesn't have THE DARK or BATMAN in it. I need to think about this one...

You can't do the Dark Knight Returns because then it will get confused with the comic book. The Caped Crusader sounds pretty cool I think The name Gotham would be cool because it sounds mysterious.

I think the title should be named Gotham Knights. This would represent not only Batman but Commissioner Gordon as well. It's basically now, just the two of them to bring order to Gotham City. Their two strongest allies are gone in Dent and Rachel. They can only rely on each other now.

i dont think nolan would go for the dark knight returns tho it would make sense, but only because of frank millers graphic novel being called that so i think it most likely will be something else. as much as i would LOVE to see black mask in the movie he definitly wont be. i think i like him just as much as the joker. but theres still a bunch like riddler, penguin, cat woman (please not her) they wouldnt have harley quinn maybe when shes harleen quinzel as the doctor at arkham but not when she goes crazy, especially if joker isnt going to be in the next one, i still think they should have auditions for someone who could do a heath ledger joker so they could have him in the movie considering he didnt die. they shouldnt have killed two-face off as well. or yeah talia could also be in it, idk im just excited to see what happens

drknight92@I agree about who can we trust?.But whats the point of that one is it like hush or some villan that I don't know about.Anyways,Ijsut wanna go with "Gotham."

LEE777@Whos that villlan that says Tom Hardy at the bottom? Is it Black Mask?
PardonMyOath
PardonMyOath - 5/23/2010, 2:16 PM
I still think that since the movies are more comic based, the title should be similar to the villians an the storyline like in the graphic novels.

Knightfall - Bane - Batman becomes cripple.
Hush - Riddler - Riddler keeps the villians name a secret.

My Vote:

Knightfall - Harley Quinn or Talia (Love Interest) with Mad Hatter or Riddler (as the Master Mind), and Bane (as the Muscle, just more inteligent than the one in Batman & Robin)

I vote for Shadow of the Bat.

As for these posters, pretty much suck, they all look like Dark Knight posters with zero inspiration.

That or Dark Knight Returns. Whatever ... I'm not picky.

It's not on the list, but my vote is cast towards BATMAN ETERNAL-it signifies the idea of an ending and it has the sense of Batman being an everlasting entity for the good of Gotham.
