Plus going back to Bruce Wayne is a great way to end the story. I was pretty embarrassing how forgettable Bruce Wayne's dialogue was compared to the Joker's and even Dent to an extent. More of a supporting character instead of the main character as he should be.

So, the Superman film comes out after this film; and in this film, we're going to see Bane(knightfall?).

could you imagine a Superman cameo in this one? :)

Idk about a superman cameo, but a Metropolis reference would be cool.

Ah some ore of this interview! Nice one. Yeah I would have been bery disappointed if he had not finished off the trilogy. I hope he has such a good time on it that he sticks around for another one too! If he makes 20 movies I'll let him off.

I can't wait for this! Nolan is going to blow us away. Also if you've seen Bronson, you know Hardy is going own as Bane.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that Nolan will find a way of ending the franchise in a way that will completely finish his story...and that'll either be with the death of Batman, or his back being broken by Bane. (ending in him being able to walk again in the last few seconds or something) Either way, I have 110% faith in him and am sure we'll end up with an amazing movie. Thank [frick] he decided to come back and do this third one! :)

A movie called "The Dark Knight RISES" will not have The Dark Knight dying or being Crippled to end the story.. The Title explains itself..

StrangerX - I don't know about a Superman cameo or a Metroplis reference in this Bat-film - Nolan has been pretty adamant about keeping his universe isloated. If anything, there will be a reference to that "pychopath in Gotham" in the new Superman film, if any cross-referencing is to be made...

It'd be great if he was honest and said something like "Nah these comic movies are totally beneath me, but I really love the boatloads of cash they give me".

Hey everyone, poppin' the forum cherry tonight, glad you could all be around for this most intimate of moments!

Does anyone else think that the 'Rises' in the title of the new movie might refer to a return of Ra's Al Ghul? It would round off the trilogy and Bane was connected to him right?

@ AJAX WHY SO SERIOUS? haha lets just hope for the best man
I have high hopes for this movie since Nolan has proven himself over and over again in his past work

I don't think the Dark Knight that we will see the rise of in this film will neccasarily be Bruce Wayne. He is reinventing it. Making it different. Yes Bruce Wayne may fall, but it will be a Knight much darker that will rise.
AzBats Rises, July 20th 2012. That is all.

You don't need to know why. Nolan knows why, y'know, the director! Wait and see the damn movie and then you will know why and then if you don't like it, demand an explanation. Yeeesh!

I can't wait to see what he does with the end of his trilogy. Hopefully it will be open ended and another trilogy will be born. Maybe with bats later in life.

Why do people still doubt Nolan? comon the guy isnt stupid. Bane and Catwoman will be great in their own Nolan-verse kinda way! have faith! he has yet to let us down! think about it! the film he did in between batmans was inception! he's a genius!

No way superman will be here. Superman will hopefully start from scratch like begins did. So throwing in a cameo would just Frick things up. Maybe a gl refrence would be tight

i really liked memento, since then it seems like hes remaking that same style, layered movie - he's good at it but it gets monotonous
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 1/31/2011, 8:48 PM
It would be nice if this is a real Bruce/Bats story. After begins, which is all about Bruce, he gets lost in the sauce in the Dark Knight. Everything is bigger than Batman in the Dark Knight to the point of him being part of the picture and not leading. He's pretty powerless in this chapter too. So maybe this is Nolan's BATMN Batman film.

@Jer3miah - Hahahaha! Terry: "It's schway." Bruce: "It's schwarbage."

Rather than speculating on who or what may or may not be in Nolan's last bat-film, I'd be satisfied just to see Batman in a recognizable variation of his iconic suit from the BOOKS instead of the progressively worse concepts that have been in Nolan's movies.
