Tom Hardy Comments Briefly On The Rumors And Secrecy Surrounding The Dark Knight Rises!

The British actor, who will play Bane in director Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, shares his thoughts on the online rumors and on set secrecy surrounding the upcoming movie...

Many thanks to French website, Allocine, for the following video. Nothing too revealing here (but c'mon, you weren't expecting him to talk in detail about the plot now were you?) but here's his take on the online rumors and on set secrecy which surround a movie like The Dark Knight Rises.

"I'm a bit naughty actually, I like to look at everything! Even though people say not read everything, I like to read everything, so I'm aware of what's going on."

"I know less about the project while filming with that man because Chris Nolan doesn't tell you anything, so I don't know who I'm playing, what I'm doing, until the morning that I'm working!"

"Everything is subject to change with Chris Nolan, but on the whole, I know which information is true and false."

With an all star cast which includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate, The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

Everybody the world over knows Nolan likes to keep a lid on his projects while in production. So... The news is?.... Tom Hardy thinks himself as naughty.

@CatwomanLover - he was in Star Trek Nemesis playing Shinzon. And I agree with you against Grif- I rewatched Begins and I have a great amount of confidence in Nolan after seeing its epicness once more :-)

I just dont get this guy "grif" Im new to this site, but he is constantly putting these stupid videos on every story, I never once seen him pleased. If you have nothing nice to say, dont say nothing at all. The rebellion starts here. [frick] grif.

I cant wait to see the look on Marvel fanboys when The Dark Knight Rises dwarfes avengers, spiderman and every other project they throw. And I'm not just speaking box office of course, after all Transformers movies made a ton of money but are crappy movies regardless... I'm talking about quality as well.

Boy that will be fun!

@MoumentheBatman I'm looking forward to The Dark Knight Rises as much as any Batman fan, but The Avengers is going to be the biggest comic book movie to date. Unless a Justice League movie (w/ the original 7 members) is made, Avengers takes the cake. The Amazing Spider-Man will do well cause it's Spidey. The Man of Steel will do excellent because it's Superman and Superman Returns was horrible. So, yes TDKR will do fantastic (both box office and quality wise), but The Avengers will do the same as will MoS and TASM. If it were my choice to see TDKR or the Avengers at mid-night opening night, I would choose The Avengers (cause I already saw The Dark Knight opening night and the Avengers is only once).

@Catwomanlover don't worry about grif, everyone's pissed off with him when they first join but you soon learn that it's just his character. I doubt he even hates the idea as much as he says he does, in fact I bet he can't wait to see this movie ;)

@CatwomanLover

grif's presence makes every article complete. He's funny too. Pretends to be a hater to get attention. But I've seen him defend Nolan before, personally, I think he either has a strict taste in movies or doesn't like to praise them like many of us do. He's a "bring on the movie or I don't give a shit about this news" type of guy. Oh, and those videos are his, advertising them, getting more views. It's cool, my favorite commenter.

This would be my first time talking about him, I never wanted to "feed" him :P

Catwomanlover- he was only pleased with one film before its released and that was the Green Lantern Film. Everything else he has a sour attitude towards too.

Anyways, i cant wait for TDKR. I It's going to be awesome.

Early gross projections for 2012 CBMs:

The Amazing Spiderman $350M
The Avengers $350M
The Man of Steel $275M
The Wolverine $195M
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance $125M

@ thedarkknight1939 & @ryguy88

all three spidey films have out grossed every batman film except the dark knight, isn't spidey being shot in 3D as well that will boost ticket prices.

as for the dark knight rises,i don't think it will bane & catwoman are not strong enough characters to carry the film.

joker yes,but its not gonna take the same money as the dark knight.

worldwide takings $750 million max.

the avengers cbm of the year.

I hope that Tom Hardy can deliver. That they will make him look somewhat like Bane aside from not wearing a shirt and sporting a mask. That he does deliver a menacing, overpowering presence standing over Bale's Batman. But it is not a good sign when he says he does not know what he is doing day to day. That means they are not prepping him for CGI or anything of that nature. Not a good sign.

I have to agree with Grif. If this movie does not live up to the hype I'll be ready for a reboot sooner than later, just don't reuse the same storylines and villans.
