Jesse Eisenberg is at this year's Sundance Film Festival, and when Variety caught up with the actor, they were quick to ask him about playing Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He obviously wasn't willing to give too much away, and had this to say when the site quizzed him on whether or not his head is still shaved. "I can’t say anything about this stuff," he responded. "They want all this to be a surprise." As for whether or not he would like to play Lex again (in Superman's next movie specifically), the actor added: "I would love to. It’s a great group and director, and the most ideal character to play." Rumour has it that Eisenberg will next appear in Suicide Squad...

Finally, the site asked Eisenberg if he was a fan of the Man of Steel growing up, and like many actors playing some of our favourite comic book characters, he was far from a fan! "No. I never minded him," he said before revealing that he did go back to watch the previous movies after being cast as Lex Luthor. "Oh, just to understand the context of this one. But no, not as a child."

Judging by the pic of his buzzcut hair about a week ago, we will definitely see his shiny dome.

"They want all this to be a surprise."

Refreshing to see that WB, just like Lucasfilm, wants their products to remain as much a surprise as possible. Even so, the actors of each respective movie has stated, on occasion, that the love seen on set encouraged them to stay quiet.

I still think Ashton Kutcher is the ideal choice.

@jollem: "jesse's gonna crush it"

You're darn right he will! His Lex Luthor is going to transcend what we think about supervillains in cinema. Sometimes the best villain is someone who could exist in the real world. That's what makes them scary, the reality of them. Lex Luthor is going to be that villain who could exist in this world we live in. What if there really was an alien who saved earth from destruction while also be blamed by some of the destruction caused. There would be someone who will use their power and intellect to his advantage and brainwash the masses to fall under his total control. I can't wait for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!

Never forget, before Singer's "Superman Returns", JJ Abrams "Superman: Flyby" had Henry Cavill as Superman and Robert Downey Jr as Lex Luthor.

Maybe it's a good thing he wasn't a Superman fan, considering he's Lex and all.

I think Jesse Eisenberg will do a great job with this role. I was skeptical at first but the more I think about it, the more I like this casting.

@MarkyMarkRises

CBMs and Star Wars movies make a conscious effort to keep things secret as long as possible because they know how passionate and clever their fan bases are. They know their fans can piece together and figure things out with the smallest of details, info. and pictures.
