Whilst speaking with Fashionista, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice costume designer Michael Wilkinson has revealed a few new details about the Dark Knight's uniform in the film. One of the main priorities was apparently how the suit would look in action. Wilkinson said that 'It's a very important thing to Zack (Snyder) that the Batsuit would be comfortable and very flexible but then would be able to perform in a very natural and forceful way.'? He also said that another top priority was the neck piece. Snyder reportedly wanted to address the problem of Batman not being able to turn his head. 'A lot of incredible engineering went into the development of the black cowl,' he said.
Another interesting detail was that getting Affleck into the suit was reportedly very complex. Wilkinson said it involved 'multiple customers' and called it a 'six-handed operation'. Apparently, getting Affleck into the suit could take over 25 minutes! He finished by saying that he's looking forward to hearing feedback about his work for the film. 'It's no longer a designer in his workroom pushing a costume out into the world and that's it,' he said. 'There's a real sense of conversation and engaging in a dialogue about this stuff.' What do you think guys? Let me know in the comments below! Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in cinemas on March 26th, 2016.
