In the latest Super Café from the folks at HISHE, Superman and Batman discuss how Hollywood had nothing but negative things to say during the recent Awards Season.  Plus, Spider-Man makes a cameo to let the World's Finest know that he'll be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Aquaman also stops by to join the conversation.

I like HISHE, but honestly, reboots aren't automatically a bad thing. Nothing is sacred in life, nothing; the earlier you get that, the more fun life will be.

Back to movies, reboots can take already popular concepts and re-energize them for a newer generation of potential fans and make a more exciting version of what's already popular with people. (I'm speaking in terms of movies 20+ years old, not like Spider-Man).

It's kind of ironic to have these two talking about "crushing box office sales" when that's been Marvel's job as of late.

To be fair some reboots and remakes have been surprisingly good like Star Trek, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Dead, 3:10 to Yuma, Batman Begins, The Fly, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Departed and The Thing.

I just hope this new Spider-Man reboot will be "amazing"

Well we got a poll for the AOU trailer which normally comes out a few hours after something big like that drops but decided to drop today instead.

Yep. Slow.

Wonder if people will understand it's about rebooting within a small time frame not rebooting in general.

In 2011, X-Men was rebooted. In 2012, it was Spider-Man. In 2013, it was Superman. This year, it will be F4. Next year, it will be Batman and Spider-Man.

Nothing is wrong with reboots, but Spider-Man has been the one to be rebooted too many times for my taste. But it was necessary because TASM2 sucked.

@MightyZeus

Scarface is also a remake.

The classic Wizard of Oz could also be considered a Reboot of sorts, since there was like nine Wizard of Oz movies before the Judy Garland one.

TASM2 is one of the worst comic book film since Son of the Mask. I literally have issues and problems with every scene in TASM2. A film has never pissed me off that much before.

[frick] that movie and I'm glad it's dead. Told you all TASM2 would [frick]ing suck.

The Rhino has never been awesome, dude. He's always just been a 2 dimensional thug that Spidey had to fight.

There is just so much wrong with TASM2, I don't even know where to begin. It made me actually appreciate Spider-Man 3 and realize "you know what at least this movie is entertaining." For a good 45-hour of TASM2, NOTHING EVEN HAPPENS.

At least give Spidey a moral dilemma or something. Spider-Man 2 had him chose being either Spider-Man or Peter Parker and he started losing his powers, but when he wasn't Spider-Man at least it was interesting to see him adjust to no powers and to see what Doc Ock was up to.

And WHY THE [frick] WOULD YOU MAKE A FILM THAT'S SOLE PURPOSE IS TO SET UP FOR ANOTHER FILM!?

TASM2 just makes me upset. I'm sorry.
