'SPOILER' Is Coming In Five New Official Images From BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
Meanwhile, producer Charles Roven sheds some light on Ben Affleck's take on Batman and why he's gone from being a vigilante to judge, jury, and...executioner? Uh-oh!
Is Ben Affleck's Batman going to be a killer? It sounds like he's certainly going to head down a dark path in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice anyway, as producer Charles Roven explains in an interview with Empire Online.
"[Batman] is not giving people a chance. He is more than a vigilante. He has become not only the cop, if you will, he has also become the jury and executioner. He’s older, [and] he’s seen the worst of what man can do. He’s been darkened by it, he’s tougher, he’s angrier, I guess. He’s still lost those that are near and dear to him, and not necessarily from old age or disease."
That's definitely a nod to Robin, and how that character factors into this movie is one of the most exciting mysteries about Batman v Superman right now. Here are the five new (well, new-ish) images the site has officially released to go with these comments. You can see more by clicking here.
Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman. Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open in theaters on March 25th, 2016. Are you guys excited?
