Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968.

“Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D'Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

DEFINITELY my most anticipated Phase 2 MCU film! Man, I'm just itching to see a teaser from this film, or even another official pic of Cap, or Falcon, or Winter Soldier.

2014 can't come any faster, huh? ;)

In my opinion Cap has no political preference, he just loves America. Loving America doesn't need a political label. He just loves what America represents, not what America is or who is running it. Plus the president is the one from Iron Man 3 so whoever thinks he supports Obama is an idiot.

It was stated not only in the Roger Stern, John Byrne run but one of the Mark Waid runs that Captain America can not and will not represent a political party. What he fights for is the American Dream that every one can achieve their dreams no matter where they are from and their background. But Steve Rogers on the other can have political views. I think it one the Waid issues he even go around a neighborhood asking people to vote for some one.

And will all you haters stop acting like Feige has destroyed the Iron Man films. I thought IM 2 was fun and great movie. Was it perfect as good as the first one? No, but it wasn't as terrible as some people make it out to be.

I'm not sure what everyone's problem is w/ Kevin Feige and IM3. Granted I haven't seen it yet, but from what I gather, aside from the twist, people are complaining that it doesn't further the MCU enough or show enough ties to it. Wasn't that one of the main problems that people had w IM2? That it showcased the broader MCU too much? People are so hypocritical.

After the Avengers, the movies are supposed to be solo stories. Aside from the presence of S.H.I.E.L.D. and little easter eggs here and there, the only real threading of the MCU in the Phase 1 solo movies were the post-credit scenes. No solo movie, besides the hinting at the tesseract in IM2's subplot and the actual introduction of the tesseract in CA:TFA, fed into the larger plot of the MCU and The Avengers. So what's wrong w IM3 being a true solo movie?

Kevin Feige set out to create a shared Marvel universe and he's succeeded. Every character is entitled to their own personal stories w/o being tied down to the larger scope of the MCU. The shared universe is already established and I see no need for the solo movies to be beholden to that, beyond casual references. It has always been said that after The Avengers each character will go back to their own private universes w/ their respective movies telling their own personal stories. In fact, I recall fans all wondering how the absence of the other Avengers and their newly formed connections to each other will be explained in solo outings. Now that IM3 has done just that in effectively focusing solely on Tony Stark/Iron Man they're all complaining? Make up your mind fanboys.

Kevin Feige has made a fanboys' wet dream come true w/ Phase 1. Have faith that he knows what he's doing for Phase 2, be satisfied and grateful that he executed an unprecedented shared universe to near perfection, and just enjoy the solo movies for what they are...highly entertaining movies featuring your favorite childhood characters.

fettastic If Civil War is based on gun rights... then how is Cap a liberal? I'd say it makes Stark a bit more of a liberal believing the government can handle everything. Although later even Tony learned that he was wrong and because of his mistake we had the government under the control of a madman (Osborn).

So in some ways with Stark being a big business owner, and Cap being for 'gun rights' (which Civil War represents) both are technically conservative. ;)

But enough with politics lets just enjoy these awesome stories!

fettastic,
You're showing incredible naivety and a lack of knowledge of history to believe that "the government is on your side" ever. The founding fathers did their best to set up a ponderous and divided system of government that would protect its citizens from the corruptions of power. It was founded on a healthy distrust the ruling class, and 300 years later, their ideas have been watered down and their worst nightmares about government are coming true.

Liberals are all for their causes until they get their guy in office. Then anything goes. Why hasn't Guantanamo closed and all phone tapping been banned? Obama has been in office over 4 years now. And what about those drone strikes? Bengahzi-gate? More terrorism attacks on American soil than ever before? Obama has presided over and gotten us into more wars than Bush! So much for your messiah. No, liberalism is a crock. It's just a front for the weak-minded, illogical and emotionally based weenies of the world.

Wow, what an intellectually informed and unbiased viewpoint...People like you (on both sides of the aisle) are the problem, not the solution. Your naivete can be excused to a point; your virulent, arrogant ignorance cannot.

Fettastic,
Arguing like a true liberal, without facts, logic or TRUTH. You don't have anything positive to point to that Obama has done, all you can do is blame Bush. It's been over 4 years now!!! Obama has done NOTHING but bring about a healthcare takeover that is going to be the ruin of the American economy. Please. Point me to SOMETHING that Obama has accomplished besides that. You can't do it! Except maybe be the President who takes the most vacations and golf outings while our country burns.

@CapistheMan I had faith in kevin up untill he raped The manderin!!

My question is how do they decide? witch villains are to campy to really play off. How do they decide witch charachters are to unbelieveble to use and witch are plausibel? And why do they make that distinction?? they dont do it in the comics?? Why can we have a real Loki but no real Manderin?? Why can we be made to believe that a Loki can exists in the MCU but a Mandarin is to far fetched or to campy??

YEah thor a guy with a magical hammer we can do that but magical rings NOOO WAYY!! WTF!!!

Blazin,
Of course opinions can be wrong. This is what I'm talking about. Political correctness is ruining this country. Words actually mean things. There is such a thing as ABSOLUTE TRUTH. And yes, that means there is a right and a wrong. If you don't accept that, then there is only chaos. Yet it seems that's what the majority of people want these days. And so, we skip down the path towards the zombie apocalypse like a bunch of imbeciles who think they are so enlightened.
