Production weekly has just confirmed via Twitter, that Marvel's First Avenger: Captain America, starring Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, and Hayley Atwell, will begin principal photography "June 28th"



I've stated this exact date in a couple of recent "Captain America" articles, but it was never fully accurate, until now.


"The First Avenger: Captain America" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America."

ANSWER: I never really go to see a movie more than once but I already have plans to see it at least twice! I've been sorting out funding over the past week which is why I've gone from posting a fan cast every other day to nothing for the past week and a half! And yeah, I'm really startng to look forward to it now...even though I'll miss having enough time on my hands to watch all 84 episodes of The Sopranos in the space of 3 weeks, lol! ;)

so...i take it they're foregoing the triangular shield in the Cap movie?? i haven't seen IM2 (obviously) but from what i understand, Iron Man's dad created Cap's shield, the one we see in the IM movies. well that one is circular.

i would personally be happy if they didn't use the triangle shield at all, just an observation i made.

also, i like that pic of evans as cap up there. i know its not traditional, but i could actually live with that for some reason.

Chris needs to work out like a mother-F@#ker if he expexts to look anything like Cap. As he looks right now ...he really ain't there yet. I'm impressed with his torso, but his arms still look too damn small. He's supposed to look lie athletic perfection and he still looks like a character in a soap opera. I can't fricken' stand it! That pic up at the top ain't helping much, either.

R0r5ch4ch84@ I know that Evans can stand to bulk up some still, but I don't think he is that far off to be alright for Cap and I can't agree with you as to the size of his arms. As a personal trainer in my younger day,I would say if he needs work on anything iit would be his pectorals and his lats.

Compared to the others who were mentioned for the part he is leaps and bounds ahead of the physique for Cap.

@Starsapphire: Agreed. I remember that scene and I didn't know whether to be creeped out or laugh along with him. It'd be awesome if he has that laugh in the Cap movie.

@Ranger14: Agreed. He's got a much better build for the role than anyone else mentioned for it. I think he's got a little more time to bulk up even after they start shooting, if they start shooting the scenes with him prior Super Soldier Serum.
