CAPTAIN MARVEL Cast And Crew Hoodie May Reveal An Unexpected Cameo - Possible Spoilers

Another crew hoodie for Captain Marvel has been revealed and this one points to a fan-favourite - but very minor - character from the comic books joining Carol Danvers on her mission to outer space...

Samuel L. Jackson has one again taken to social media to reveal one of the hoodies being given out to Captain Marvel's cast and crew. As you can see, it features intertwined flags for the titular character and S.H.I.E.L.D. along with a picture of...a yellow-skinned cat? If you're wondering what the deal with that is, don't worry, because we have you covered; that's actually Carol's pet cat called Chewie!

While you may think that a cat appearing in the Marvel Studios movie is a completely useless piece of information, it's important to note that his comic book counterpart was taken into outer space by his owner and it was there that Rocket Raccoon revealed that Chewie was actually part of a catlike alien species known as the Flerken. As a result, Carol learned that he had a number of superpowers.

Those include teleportation and the ability to unleash monstrous tendrils from his mouth, something we could very well end up seeing on the big screen next year! How Captain Marvel would handle something as weird as that is hard to say but it definitely looks like Chewie will be making some sort of cameo appearance if he was important enough to the movie to be included on this hoodie. We'll see!

Glad to see Sam Jackson back with something to do. Fury hasn't been around for a while.

@ChangAlang - nicely done.

This really tells us nothing. For all we know, Chewie can be relegated to an insignia, similar to how Jarvis was turned into an AI. The cat may remain as just a cat (at least for this movie as they try to focus on Carol's powers and the skrulls).

@Origame - Or maybe...Chewie is a Skrull!

@Skrull - Chewbacca's a skrull? Didn't see that coming.

"Jones" the ginger cat from the first Alien film - a crossover is waiting.

Looks like "Alfie" written next to him. I'm guessing a name change to avoid any Star Wars crossover confusion.

Yellow-SKINNED cat?

Does Josh not know the difference between skin and fur? I'm now kind of concerned...

It's a heraldic cat. It's essentially likely an easter egg, and probably a nod to Carol's "real" cat if he appears in the movie. Also, FUR! ITS FUR NOT SKIN!

I'm pretty sure England doesn't have unicorns.

@MNLawyer - I'm pretty sure England doesn't have unicorns.

Yeah, not anymore. Apparently Henry the Eighth thought they were delicious.

My hype for Captain Marvel is building, it seems like it going to be a fantastic segue into Avengers 4 or 4vengers...

It’s just a picture of half a cat presumably. To go out on a limb and assume it’s an alien feline named Chewie is kind of reaching isn’t it?

WOW! Thanks for the AMAZINGLY astonishing news Josh! Man, going into this movie without knowing about her cat would be tantamount to eating a doughnut without coffee! Thank gods you saved the day!

Marvel: Treats their raccoons and cats faithful, but craps all over Spider-Man's history, especially the lack of a spidey-sense (he supposedly had it in Infinity War, but it sure conveniently never popped up when he needed it to), journalism career, and Iron Man suit.
