Marvel Studios has done a great job marketing Captain Marvel; it's clear that they're holding a lot back and we've so far seen nothing of Goose in action (assuming he is indeed a Flerken) or the Supreme Intelligence.
Well, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Annette Bening finally confirmed that she is indeed playing the latter, and proceeded to show the audience a clip featuring her character interacting with "Vers."
We also get some insight into the Skrulls as the "Intelligence" explains what a threat they are and seemingly confirms that they're responsible for the hero's memory loss.
There's been a lot of speculation surrounding both Carol's origin story and the role the Supreme Intelligence will play here; recently, we learned that it takes on the form of whatever the person it's interacting with wants to see and the prevailing theory is that this woman resembles Captain Marvel's mother.
We'll have to wait and see. Thankfully, things will become a whole lot clearer on March 8th.

Carol Danvers' Six Years Of Memories
The book reveals that Carol (or "Vers" as she's now known) has no memory of her life beyond the past six years or so. However, she's been told that she lost all knowledge as a result of the Kastelian attacks which were orchestrated by the Skrulls.
That's quite a story to spin and would explain why she's working with the Kree; the former Air Force pilot has been led to believe that she's one of them and her memory loss was the direct result of the shape-shifting aliens. How much truth there is to that obviously remains to be seen.
Skrulls Can (Sort Of) Read Minds
The Skrulls are able to shapeshift into anyone just by looking at them but there's more to being "simmed" than just having your identity stolen. The book reveals that the aliens also retain the memories of those they imitate.
It's said that after turning into someone else, the Skrulls copy "the genetic markers, DNA and recent memories of their target." That means it will be extremely hard to find out who's a Skrull as various tests wouldn't reveal their true selves, biologically speaking, and the fact they have those memories will surely make it easier to blend in as well.
