Quite some time ago, we heard that a number of Marvel Cinematic Universe actresses approached Kevin Feige on the set of the latest Avengers movie to pitch a female-led team-up of some sort. While we don't know whether or not he's now giving that any real consideration, there's a precedent for it in the comic books as this group of heroes was briefly known as A-Force.
Now, Captain Marvel star Brie Larson has weighed in on the possibility of a female-led Avengers movie and it definitely sounds like she would definitely be interested in starring in that.
"I'm scared and I don't know what the future holds either. I'm not let into those top-secret meetings, so we'll see. We'll see what happens. I love all the female characters so much. So, of course, like that's what I'm interested in. I'm super into an all-female Avengers movie. Yeah, I think that would just be, it would just be cool to see all of them interact together."
It would definitely be a lot of fun seeing this team assemble but it's a concept which could easily backfire on Marvel Studios; after all, some moviegoers and critics could take umbrage with the MCU's female superheroes essentially being segregated in their own movie.
Ultimately, though, it definitely feels like A-Force is a group with a lot of potential so we'll have to wait and see how things pan out.
