Love the portrayal of Desaad, and Darkseid, can't wait to see Kalibak. Johns is killing it.

DC has just been killing it post-Convergence. They've always had some good titles during the New 52-phase, but after Convergence, they've rocked all across the line-up. Love seeing them take more risks and explore characters that don't often get too much of a spotlight. Dr. Fate, Martian Manhunter, and Constantine: The Hellblazer are all really stand out series. Hoping the Darkseid War leads to a Mister Miracle solo title.

I can't tell from these pages but is Darkseid still drawn wearing the mini-skirt?

Every time I see breathtaking art like this, I always think about the monologue of Elijah Price from Unbreakable about comic books.

"I've come to believe that comics are our last link to the ancient way of passing on history. The Egyptians drew pictures on walls about battles, and events. Countries all around the world still pass on knowledge through pictorial forms. I believe that comics, just at their core now... have a truth. They are depicting what someone, somewhere felt or experienced." -ELIJAH PRICE

The first issue was so kick-ass.

And on a side note that one panel where Superman doesn't have that weird turtle/v neck thing looks amazing. That's how it should remain.

Growing up as a young lad, I followed DC Comics more and just because of that, I will be so happy if they bring Darkseid into the DCEU. To me, he's the end all, be all of villains.

Dude the character has been around since 1985 and was created by the legendary King of comics himself Jack Kirby.

Oh my God... I stopped reading comics 4 years ago. When did DC get this beautiful? Where would I need to start to catch up with this?

Are they trying to go back to the old Superman costume or did Fabok just got it wrong?

I mean no neck thing, no lines in the suit and there's even a little bit of yellow in the cape.

@Shara184 Unfortunately, beautiful art doesn't always equal a great story. I'm not speaking about this comic, but just speaking in general.

All you need to do is pick up Justice League #41:

That's part one of the Darkseid War arc.

Didnt Steppenwolf die on Earth 2? And Mr Miracle was traveling with Fury. What about all that stuff? Or are we officially in the "[frick] continuity" age?

Love those Teen Titans Go! covers (this artstyle looks better on paper than what they did in animation), the art inside is really good too but... Come on I'd love to see some Teen Titans Go! art in the books themselves!

this art work should be the new standard. if an artist cant come close to this kind of detail drawing they should not be doing big boy comics.
