The Washington Post have confirmed that this September will see the release of a zero issue for each of DC's 52 titles, revealing both the origin stories and filling in the gaps in the histories of the relaunched versions of their characters ("The New 52" established that the majority of the heroes had only been in operation for five years). The issues will also create new plot points for the various titles going forward and reintroduce fan favourite heroes and villains.

The site also reveal a third wave of titles following the cancellation of another four books (only Justice League International is confirmed to be coming to an end at this point). The new titles include "Night of the Owls" spin-off Talon from Scott Snyder; Sword and Sorcery, which will bring back Amethyst, whose alter ego Amy Winston soon realises she is a lost princess of Gemworld; Team Seven, a series which sees the formation of a team - Steve Trevor, Dinah Lance, Amanda Waller, John Lynch, Cole Cash, Alex Fairchild and Slade Wilson - to take out Superman; and finally The Phantom Stranger, which will focus on him learning more about his true origin and his links with Pandora and creating The Spectre.

I think you put Wade Wilson instead of Slade Wilson.

I've been enjoying some of the New 52 takes on the characters. But does anybody know ultimately what the frick is going on..?? Is this going to be the story lines from here on out or are they going to flip-flop mind rape everybody back to the old style..???

The zero issues could be cool for a lot of charcuterie. Also excited to see what talon will be like.
The others seem like weird choices, especially when there were other titles I think we all expected.

The only one that seems appealing is the Talon line. A lot of history involved in that story arc.

Gemworld and Phantom Stranger have me intrigued.
These issue zeroes oughta rock our worlds, Deece.
But if they don't, it's aai'ight, 'cause we've still got Earth One as a safety net. Batman needs the most work in streamlining, so if they [frick] his mythos up in The New 52, they better not [frick] up Earth One.

I don't care too much about any of the new titles, including Talon. I find the cancellation of three more titles interesting news. I bet the cancelled titles will be Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, and Voodoo. I remember when the The New 52 first came out, and I guessed that Batwing; Resurection Man; I,Vampire; and Hawk & Dove would all be cancelled before issue twelve. I only got one right, but I find it's fun to guess.

Oh perfect, just go ahead and make a bunch of Zero issues and half issues and 1/3 issues NOW, just to [frick] every tradepaperback collector up the ass. Thank you DC, i now feel like i have as much of a healthy sexlife as a prisoner does, to a point where lubrication takes the whole fun out of it.

I thought the Talon series was the dumbest idea I'd ever heard of, and wondered why Scott Snyder would ever stoop to something like that...and then I read the article about the series on USA Today, and it looks really great.

Viltrumite- Yeah i wasn't too big on the concept itself, seemed like a rip-off of Universal Soldier, but it turned out a lot better than i thought it would've.

If Team 7 is comprised of Dinah Lance, Cole Cash and Slade Wilson, does that mean Birds of Prey, Grifter and Deathstroke are the other 3 getting canceled?

Or maybe Suicide Squad and this is the replacement?

I'm happy about the zero issues. There are a few titles where I'd like to get some background info on.

tazmaniak- I sure hope that's what it means. Those books are bland as [frick], hell even Voodoo's better than those.

Team 7 with Grifter AND Deathstroke? Say,wasn't Liefeld in charge of those titles? *snicker*

This blows. What about Booster Gold? He had such a great book before this reboot, and the Justice League International was ok, but now he'll be lost on the cutting room floor. So sad that DC keeps coming up with stuff then just throwing aside. This is bad business. Clearly they would've stuck with what they had.

Team Seven will be interesting. It's been built up nicely so far.

Hope we get that Aquaman 0 issue. Aquaman has been the best of the new 52 titles so far, in my opinion.

I am very disappointed about this "creation of the Spectre" nonsense, it pretty much means that he will not be the wrath of God any more, likely just a pawn of the Circle of Eternity.

Didn't take long for them to start [frick]ing around with the new comics. Just leave them be and tell stories.
