The Washington Post have confirmed that this September will see the release of a zero issue for each of DC's 52 titles, revealing both the origin stories and filling in the gaps in the histories of the relaunched versions of their characters ("The New 52" established that the majority of the heroes had only been in operation for five years). The issues will also create new plot points for the various titles going forward and reintroduce fan favourite heroes and villains.
The site also reveal a third wave of titles following the cancellation of another four books (only
Justice League International is confirmed to be coming to an end at this point). The new titles include "Night of the Owls" spin-off
Talon from Scott Snyder;
Sword and Sorcery, which will bring back Amethyst, whose alter ego Amy Winston soon realises she is a lost princess of Gemworld;
Team Seven, a series which sees the formation of a team - Steve Trevor, Dinah Lance, Amanda Waller, John Lynch, Cole Cash, Alex Fairchild and Slade Wilson - to take out Superman; and finally
The Phantom Stranger, which will focus on him learning more about his true origin and his links with Pandora and creating The Spectre.
