They are going to switch Robin out with Nightwing, Red Robin, and Red Hood. This will lead up to the new Robin who is more than likely going to be Harper Row.

I would be pissed if I was Peter Tomasi. You build up a great father son relationship with Damian and Bruca and has progressed the character tremendously to the point where people who hated him actually began to like him. Only for him to be killed off by Grant Morrison. I like Morrison but Damian's death just felt so out of place and sudden.

^Especially after DotF. I really liked Damian too. :(

Exactly it also completely scraps the effects of the conclusion of Death of the Family. They are already getting the rest of the Bat Family to come help Bruce during this tragic time. Death of the Family left a bruise in the trust between Bruce and his bat allies but now not even after three issues things are back to normal between them.

@TonyChu

In hindsight it may not be so all of a sudden. Tomasi knew ahead of time that Damian would die by the end of Morrison's story and wrote his series in preparation of it. Now any heartwarming moment in the series makes sense if things go well for a superhero then something bad will happen

Yeah I know for a fact he is coming back via Lazarus Pit. And hopefully we get some Ra's Al Ghul and Damian Wayne interactions.

This triggers no emotion in me. Probably because the death issue was so poorly done.

Definitely, I will be picking this up. Silent Issue. Wow.

Well at least Bruce still has Jason and Tim.

I think it feels rushed because of the release of INC and all the responses. Also INC is still going on. The story isn't over yet, there are the events of 9 and later.

But they have been taking about Talia's attempts to kill her son ever since the new52 started.

I thought Inc #8 was greatly done, although the last few pages did seem to skip a beat or two. This looks like it'll be a solid issue. I don't think Damian will be back anytime soon.

Killing Damian was a really bad idea. Killed off the completely new Batman and Robin dynamic with all the possibilities it offered for future stories. Plain dumb.

This issue will be awesome. I'm curious as how this will affect Nightwing psychologically.

While it was incredibly selfish of Grant Morrison to kill off Damien for the sake of boosting book sales (I wasn't reading Batman inc, where you?) there's no denying that Batman&Robin#18 has to be one of the GREATEST batman books of all-time and certainly the best of the New52!
